Hermit Crab From Closest Range

in hive-144064 •  last month

This crab was just right there, and seemed to be so weak which allowed me to take the pictures from any angle I liked. Since it's quite friendly to human, I had no doubt to take its pictures from the closest range with my smartphone macro and that was good moment to see its characteristic from this range. These pics were actually taken long ago, at the western side of local beach on one afternoon. As usual, I strolled around the beach, tried to find something good to be shot, and I found this crab was helpless. Red land hermit crab is usually found along the mudflat that allow them for a safe place to escape to when there are signs of danger. As Arthropods, hermit crabs undergo molting as a necessary process for their growth. They exhibit behavior where they burrow deep into the substrate, construct a cave, and remain secluded until they shed their exoskeleton, allowing their new exoskeleton to harden.

Today's photography was truly amazing. Although the crab photography is nice to look at, their legs are a little scary.

Impressive!

Дуже милий краб. Класні фотки, було цікаво подивитись.

That's coll brother
