Changing the thermal paste

in hive-144064 •  7 months ago

Good Day Everyone

I hope everyone is doing well! Today, I received the thermal paste that I ordered a week ago. Remember how I shared a post about cleaning my PC last week? Well, during that cleaning, I noticed that the thermal paste on my CPU and GPU wasn't doing its job properly. So, I ordered new thermal paste from Daraz.

Today, I decided to replace the old thermal paste with the new one. I carefully removed the GPU and CPU fan from my PC build and cleaned off the old thermal paste. It was actually quite easy! Then, I applied the fresh thermal paste in an X pattern, as recommended, and screwed back the GPU and CPU fan.

Before applying the new thermal paste, my GPU temperature was around 35 degrees Celsius when idle. But now, after applying the new paste, it has gone down to 33 degrees Celsius! That's a significant decrease in temperature, which means my PC will run cooler and more efficiently. I've included some pictures of the process for you to see.
