Cat is a sacred animal@mohsenaakter

Assalamu Alaikum Everyone. I hope all are fine. Today I will share with you something about cats. Cats are loved by almost all of us. Many people have cats in their homes these days. I will share what Islam says about cats.
It is said in Islam, Rasulullah (SAW) said, cats are not unclean. It is an animal that often roams around you. (Abu Dawud: 75; Tirmidhi: 92). The beloved companion of Allah's Messenger, Abdur Rahman Radiyallahu Ta'ala Anhu, used to walk around with a pet cat inside his shirt. One day, he came to the court of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) with a kitten under his shirt sleeve.

At that time the cat suddenly came out in front of everyone and Rasulullah (SAW) jokingly addressed him, Ya Abu Huraira meaning 'O father of the cat'. Since then, he became more famous as Abu Huraira than his original name. And from that day he preferred to introduce himself as Abu Huraira.
When the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) performed ablution, he used to make the cat drink water from his ablution pot. A woman was punished for a cat. Because the cat was trapped and died. As a result, that woman went to hell. He kept the cat trapped and did not give it food or drink. It did not release it again, so that it could live on the insects of the soil. (Muslim: 5745). In the interpretation of this hadith, Imam Qurtubi (R.A.) said, it is permissible to keep a cat and a cat tied up if there is no mistake in feeding it. (Fathul Bari: 6/412)

One day his master sent him a vessel with food to Hazrat Aisha (RA). Then I reached him and found him praying. He signaled me at that time to keep the pot. Already a cat came there and ate some food from it. Hazrat Aisha (RA) came after the prayer and ate from the bowl from which the cat had eaten and said: Surely Rasulullah (SAW) said: The cat is not impure.
They roam around you. Then Hazrat Aisha (RA) also said, I saw Rasulullah (SAW) with the remains of a cat (Sunan Abu Dawud: 76).

So if a cat eats food and the owner of the food is rich, then eating that food is makruh or disliked for him. But if the owner of the food is poor, then it is permissible for him to eat the food. becomes impure and must be washed seven times.It was narrated from Abu Huraira (RA) that Rasulullah (SAW) said, When a dog drinks from the bowl of one of you, he will first rub it with earth. (Sahih Muslim: 549)

The first time is to wash with the things that are available in the place of soil. For the next six times, only water is enough. There is no problem in prayer if the cat is in the house. Rasulullah (SAW) said: A cat does not destroy the prayer. Because it includes household items. (Sunan Nasa'i: 368)
However, if there is a dog in the house, there will be no prayer. On the authority of Aisha (RA), she said: Jibraeel (AS) promised to come to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) at a fixed time. But he did not come on time. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) had a stick in his hand, he dropped it from his hand and said, Allah does not break His promises; Not even his messengers.

He then noticed that there was a puppy under his bed. Then he said: O Ayesha! When did the puppy enter here? Ayesha (RA) said, By Allah! i don't know Then he ordered it to be thrown out. And right after that, Hazrat Jibreel (A.S.) came. Rasulullah (SAW) said: You promised me, so I sat waiting for you. But you did not come.
He said the dog in your house was acting as a deterrent for me because we angels of mercy do not enter a house where there is a picture or a dog. (Sahih Muslim 5246). Trading in cats and dogs is strictly prohibited. It is forbidden to sell cats and dogs. Rasulullah (SAW) forbade eating cats and enjoying its value. (Tirmidhi: 1280)

Rasulullah (SAW) prohibited the sale of dogs and cats. If one wants to breed cats, he will find millions of cats lying around on the streets. All these cats can give space in the house. It will be a good place for them to live. There is no need to waste and earn sins by buying expensive cats.
