Admission war in higher education and helplessness of parents

Teachers, students, parents and education managers are facing an unavoidable crisis every year with the admission test at the beginning of higher education level.

But why does it seem that the expected research or discussion has not taken place in the decision making and implementation of education management. As a result, many questions have arisen in the public mind.

In this year's admission test, BUET, Dhaka University and Rajshahi University have shown special skills and tactical decisions in selecting students.

In this way, they have given the opportunity to the more deserving students to come to the campus. Similarly, BUET has organized the examinations in two stages but invited the most students to come in the competition. On the other hand,

In this case, the University of Chittagong has failed. They did not maintain a proportional balance even with the exams in two or more shifts.

There is no end to the people's questions about the cluster exams of the University of Science and Technology. In this case, many people think that the quality of the questions has not been balanced.

Qualitative means it is the best and one of the most influential universities in the country; Obstacles to the number of students have disappointed the interested students. At the same time, I think they are also losing the opportunity to be the birthplace of future agriculturists, researchers or scientists.

That is why more students should be involved in the admission war. Therefore, I would like to request the university authorities to give the opportunity to the students who have got minimum GPA or comparable marks to participate in the examination like last year.

Appropriate strategies for enrolling students in higher education should be formulated keeping in view the tendency of the students; It is the demand of the time to establish it as a tradition. Most recently, Bangladesh Naval University has given the opportunity of direct admission to a student with innovative mind; If we want to move forward based on our problematic assessment system, we will lose the way.

We do not organize gatherings to find talented and talented people; however, many universities in the world consider the knowledge of mathematics of the students as a qualification for admission in a few subjects.

Finally, the admission war should proceed in such a logical way so that the parents do not bleed.

উচ্চ শিক্ষায় ভর্তিযুদ্ধ ও অভিভাবকদের অসহায়ত্ব

উচ্চ শিক্ষা স্তরে প্রারম্ভে ভর্তি পরীক্ষা নিয়ে প্রতি বছর শিক্ষক,শিক্ষার্থী,অভিভাবক এবং শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থাপকদের অনিবার্য সংকটের মুখোমুখি হতে হচ্ছে।চলতি বছর গুচ্ছ পরীক্ষা উক্ত সংকট নিরসনে আমাদেরকে আশাবাদী করেছিলো।

কিন্তু কেন যেন মনে হচ্ছে, শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থাপনায় সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহন এবং বাস্তবায়নে প্রত্যাশিত গবেষণা কিংবা আলোচনা করার সুযোগ হয়নি।ফলে জনমুখে বহু প্রশ্নের জন্ম দিয়েছে।এ ক্ষেত্রে তুলনামূলক আলোচনার স্বার্থে কিছু বিষয় উল্লেখ করা প্রয়োজন মনে করছি।

এ বছরের ভর্তি পরীক্ষায় শিক্ষার্থী বাছাইয়ে বুয়েট, ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এবং রাজশাহী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় বিশেষ দক্ষতা দেখিয়েছে এবং কৌশলী সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে।ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এক শিফটে পরীক্ষা নিয়েছে এবং অধিক সংখ্যক শিক্ষার্থীকে প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশগ্রহণের সুযোগ করে দিয়েছে।

এতে তারা অধিকতর যোগ্য শিক্ষার্থীদের ক্যাম্পাসে আসবার সুযোগ দিয়েছে।তদ্রূপ, বুয়েট দু'ধাপে পরীক্ষার আয়োজন করলেও সবচেয়ে বেশি শিক্ষার্থীকে প্রতিযোগিতায় আসবার আমন্ত্রণ জানিয়েছে।অন্যদিকে, রাজশাহী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় দু'শিফটে পরীক্ষা নিয়েও সাম্যতার স্বার্থে উভয় শিফট থেকে সমান সংখ্যক শিক্ষার্থীকে ভর্তি হওয়ার আমন্ত্রণ জানিয়েছে।

এক্ষেত্রে চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ব্যর্থ হয়েছে।তারা দুই বা ততোধিক শিফটে পরীক্ষা নিয়েও আনুপাতিক সাম্যতা বজায় রাখেনি।কিন্তু আমরা জানি,প্রশ্নের ভিন্নতা নম্বর অর্জনেও ভিন্নতার কারণ হতে পারে।এতে করে যোগ্যদের সুযোগ থেকে বঞ্চিত হওয়ার পথ সৃষ্টি করে।

বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের গুচ্ছ পরীক্ষা নিয়েও মানুষের প্রশ্নের শেষ নেই।এক্ষেত্রে প্রশ্নের মানের ভারসাম্য রক্ষা হয়নি বলে অনেকে মনে করেন।এদিকে গুচ্ছ পরীক্ষার প্রভাবে বাংলাদেশ কৃষি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় তাদের অতীত ঐতিহ্যকে প্রশ্নবিদ্ধ করেছে।

গুণগত মানে সেরা এবং দেশের অন্যতম প্রভাবশালী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এটি; শিক্ষার্থী বাছাইয়ে নম্বরের সীমায় বাধা পড়ায় আগ্রহী শিক্ষার্থীদেরকে আশাহত করেছে।সাথে সাথে তারাও ভবিষ্যতের কৃষিবিদ,গবেষক কিংবা বিজ্ঞানীদের জন্মদায়িনী হওয়ার সুযোগ হারাচ্ছে বলে আমার মনে হয়।

এজন্য অধিকতর শিক্ষার্থী ভর্তি যুদ্ধে অবতীর্ণ হওয়া উচিত। এজন্য গত বছরের মতো নুন্যতম জিপিএ কিংবা তুলনীয় নম্বর প্রাপ্ত শিক্ষার্থীদের পরীক্ষায় অংশগ্রহণের সুযোগ দানের জন্য বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কতৃপক্ষের প্রতি অনুরোধ জানাচ্ছি।এক্ষেত্রে শিক্ষার্থীদের প্রবণতা এবং বিষয়ের প্রতি লক্ষ্য রাখা উচিত।

শিক্ষার্থীদের প্রবণতাকে লক্ষ্য করে উচ্চ শিক্ষায় শিক্ষার্থী ভর্তি করানোর যথাযথ কৌশল প্রণীত হওয়া উচিত ; একে ঐতিহ্য হিসেবে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করা সময়ের দাবি। অতি সম্প্রতি বাংলাদেশ নেভাল ইউনিভার্সিটি উদ্ভাবনী মমনের অধিকারী এক ছাত্রকে সরাসরি ভর্তির সুযোগ দিয়েছে; সাথে বৃত্তিরও ব্যবস্থা করেছে।আমাদের সমস্যাগ্রস্ত মূল্যায়ন পদ্ধতিকে ভিত্তি ধরে যদি আমরা এগুতে চাই, তবে আমরা পথ হারাবো।

আমরা মেধাবী এবং প্রতিভাবান খোঁজবার জন্য আসর জমানোর আয়োজন করিনা;অথচ পৃথিবীর বহু বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় শিক্ষার্থীর গণিতের জ্ঞানকেই কয়েকটি বিষয়ের ভর্তির যোগ্যতা হিসেবে বিবেচনা করে।
পরিশেষে, ভর্তিযুদ্ধ এমনতর যৌক্তিক পথে অগ্রসর হোক, যাতে করে অভিভাবকদের রক্তক্ষরণ না হয়।

এমনভাবে ভর্তি পরীক্ষা আয়োজন করতে হবে যাতে সকলেই ভর্তিপরীক্ষার পদ্ধতি এবং কৌশল নিয়ে গর্ব করবে।আমরা সে দিনটির প্রতীক্ষায় আছি।
