In my post this time, I tell a little about my local art, especially Aceh in Indonesia, namely the Ranup Lampuan dance.

Here I am @ulfillah and my friends are participating in an art competition which is being held in the city of Lhoksemawe, North Aceh, Indonesia. In the competition, we as school representatives performed the Ranup Lampun dance.
This dance is usually played by Acehnese women, especially in welcoming guests who visit the Aceh area, or welcoming important people to visit a place in Aceh, this dance is usually played with an odd number of members.

It is called the Ranup Lampuan dance because the woman who plays the dance holds a lady containing betel leaf (ranup) which is wrapped in areca nut and a little flavoring to serve to guests, where the betel leaf or in Acehnese commonly called ranup is a typical food of Aceh's ancestors.
When the dancers present the betel (ranup), usually the guests give money in return for respect or gratitude.
That's a glimpse of the typical dance of my area.
