Анекдот з письменницького життя — Fun from writer's life

Доброго ранку, шановна спільното!

Ну, такого в мене з бетами ще не було, і я сподіваюся в подальшому не буде. Розповідаю, як анекдот, бо я досі так і не зрозуміла, що то було, і як до того ставитись.

Прийшло до мене кілька нових бет, надала я їм доступ до тексту і так це й залишила. Звикла вже, що багато кому відкриваєш доступ і на цьому все завершується, людина файл навіть не відкриває. Тож через якийсь час ти просто цей доступ закриваєш і все, ваша співпраця завершена, всім дякую, всі вільні. А скільки криків було. Ну прийди хоча б скажи, що не будеш бетити. Але цього разу бета вирішила мені написати, перш, ніж піти. Отже, від мене відмовилася бета, яка відкривала файл, і вирішила мені написати причину відмови, і це було просто як буря посеред ясного неба, такого я ще не бачила.

Відкриваю я зранку телеграм, а там повідомлення. Відкриваю повідомлення, там так і так, вибачте, не буду читати ваш текст. ОК, без питань, дякую, що написали, бо зазвичай люди не дають собі труд навіть цього зробити. І людина пише причину, чому. А ось тут я просто вродила щелепу і потім не знала, де її шукати. Від мене відмовилася бета, бо (це цитата!) "в тексті забагато українських слів".

В тексті. Забагато. Українських. Слів.

В тексті українською мовою. Я попросила пояснити. Мені кажуть - місце дії не Україна, у героїв не українські імена, а слова українські. я розумію, що в мене повільно їде дах. Що ми існуємо у якихось різних всесвітах. Коротше, нормального пояснення я так і не отримала, відпустила дивну бету з миром. Пішла в чат до своїх дівчат письменниць, кажу - дівки, капець. В мене забагато українських слів у тексті, хто стикався, як виправити? Як зменшити кількість українських слів?)) Я такого сюру ще не бачила))

Поки я остаточно не поїхала зозулькою сіла писати другий том. Робота навіть почала просуватися. Ось зараз зроблю собі каву і сяду продовжувати. Це хоча б відволікає мене від нескінченного нервування щодо долі першого, бо це вже неможливо. Я страшенно вигоріла, і мені треба на щось відволіктися. Тож буду намагатися робити це продуктивно. Сьогодні навіть вдалося прокинутися на годину раніше, бо є, чим приємним зайнятися. Сподіваюся, завтра буде ще краще.

Well, I haven't had anything like this with betas before, and I hope it won't happen again. I'm telling you this as an anecdote, because I still haven't figured out what it was and how to deal with it.

A few new betas came to me, I gave them access to the text and left it at that. I'm used to giving access to a lot of people and that's it, the person doesn't even open the file. So after a while you just close this access and that's it, your cooperation is over, thank you all, everyone is free. And there was a lot of screaming. But this time the beta decided to write to me before leaving. So, the beta that opened the file refused me, and decided to write me the reason for the refusal, and it was just like a storm in the middle of a clear sky, I've never seen anything like it.

I open Telegram in the morning, and there is a message. I open the message, there is so and so, sorry, I will not read your text. OK, no questions, thank you for writing, because usually people do not bother to even do this. And the person writes the reason why. But here I just gave birth to a jaw and then I did not know where to look for it. Beta refused me, because (this is a quote!) "there are too many Ukrainian words in the text".

In the text in Ukrainian. I asked to explain. They tell me - the place of action is not Ukraine, the heroes do not have Ukrainian names, but Ukrainian words. I understand that my roof is slowly going down. That we exist in some different universes. In short, I never received a normal explanation, I let go of the strange beta in peace. I went to the chat to my girl writers, I say - girls, kapets. I have too many Ukrainian words in the text, who has encountered, how to fix it? How to reduce the number of Ukrainian words?)) I have never seen such a sura))

Before I finally left, Zozulka sat down to write the second volume. The work even started to progress. Now I'll make myself a coffee and sit down to continue. This at least distracts me from endless nervousness about the fate of the first, because it's already impossible. I'm really burnt out and need to get my mind off things. So I'll try to do it productively. I even managed to wake up an hour earlier today because I have something nice to do. Hopefully tomorrow will be even better.
