Письменницькі нотатки, перша консультація - Writer's notes, first consulting

Доброго ранку, шановна спільното!

Отже, вчора була моя перша зустріч з куратором, і сьогодні я вже можу все про неї розповісти:)

Таких зустрічей в нас на рік заплановано пʼять, це була перша. Хотілося б звісно щоб їх було більше, я б взагалі залюбки зустрічалася б хоча б щомісяця, але й так добре. Пʼять теж немало, і стимулює до плідної праці, адже на кожну зустріч потрібно щось принести, і чим більше - тим краще. На цю зустріч я принесла план тексту, синопсис і шістдесят тисяч знаків тексту.

Це капець, як сильно я нервувала, всю попередню ніч тупо не могла заснути. Мені здавалося, що в мене все жахливо і все треба буде переробляти. Але виявилося, ще не все так погано.

По-перше я дуже добре обрала куратору. Дехто з групи приходив після консультації в чат і скаржився на куратора, казав, що зустріч пройшла жахливо, і потім я гугліла того куратора, і розуміла, чому. Мені навіть коментарі не були потрібні, просто дивишся, що то за людина і на її письменницьку творчість і одразу розумієш, що так, ця зустріч цілком могла пройти жахливо і дивно було б, якщо б сталося інакше. Але мені пощастило.

Я цілком свідомо йшла на курацію до Ольги Войтенко. Я читала її книги, люблю і поважаю її як авторку, і я точно знала, що вона мені допоможе, а не додасть мені ще одну травму. Власне, так і сталося.

Ми обговорили те, що я їй принесла, вона дала мені свій фідбек, сказала, що саме у тексті не працює і що треба виправити, і також звернула мою увагу на сильні сторони моєї історії, тобто на те, що обовʼязково треба залишити і розвинути. Їй сподобалося, як я пишу, сказала, що загалом сюжет цікавий і тримає читача, слідкувати за розвитком подій цікаво.

Мене дуже потішив такий відгук, і наразі я вже знаю, як саме виправити помилки і що робити з текстом далі. Тепер можна продовжувати роботу і до лютого спокійно працювати далі, щоб у лютому бути готовою представляти свій текст до пітчингу у видавництво. Сподіваюся там теж все пройде добре.

Ось так пройшла моя перша консультація. Тепер треба продовжувати роботу в очікуванні другої. Сподіваюся я з усім впораюся:)

So, yesterday was my first meeting with the curator, and today I can tell you all about it:)

We have five such meetings planned for the year, this was the first. Of course, I would like to have more of them, I would generally like to meet at least every month, but as it is, it is good. Five is also a lot, and it stimulates fruitful work, because you need to bring something to each meeting, and the more - the better. To this meeting I brought a text plan, a synopsis and sixty thousand characters of text.

This is crazy, how nervous I was, I couldn't sleep the whole night before. It seemed to me that everything was terrible for me and that I would have to redo everything. But it turned out that everything was not so bad.

First of all, I chose the curator very well. Some of the group came to the chat after the consultation and complained about the curator, saying that the meeting had been terrible, and then I Googled that curator, and I understood why. I didn’t even need comments, you just look at what kind of person he was and his writing and you immediately understand that yes, this meeting could have been terrible and it would have been strange if it had happened differently. But I was lucky.

I quite consciously went to the curatorship with Olga Voitenko. I had read her books, I love and respect her as an author, and I knew for sure that she would help me, not give me another trauma. Actually, that’s what happened.

We discussed what I brought her, she gave me her feedback, said what exactly in the text did not work and what needed to be fixed, and also drew my attention to the strengths of my story, that is, what definitely needs to be left and developed. She liked the way I write, said that in general the plot is interesting and keeps the reader engaged, it is interesting to follow the development of events.

I was very pleased with such feedback, and now I already know exactly how to fix the errors and what to do with the text next. Now you can continue working and continue to work calmly until February, so that in February you will be ready to submit your text for pitching to the publisher. I hope everything will go well there too.
