The truth is: no one outside Ukraine can really understand the present plight of Ukraine people. "There is a popular African proverb that says: it is the one in the river that knows how deep the river is". Apparently, the images of Ukraine we see on the internet do not sufficiently convey the state of Ukraine. They are but glimpse of what is really happening in Ukraine.
It is human to have fears of the unknown in this situation. It is natural to expect anything in this state. Nevertheless, we still must hope that we who have remained thus far will see the end of war. While we put ourselves together and repeatedly speak words of affirmation to ourselves, we have to pull ourselves together and march on. We must be encouraged to go through the day believing that we will see the end of each day and the next day.
