While waiting for the rice to cool, we take one stick of raghi for the size of one aree of rice, then we mash the raghi until smooth and soft. The next step is to mix the raghi that we have mashed into the rice that we have chilled earlier.
Oh yes, in the past, this tape was usually white, but now many people are creative by mixing dyes during the tape-making process, the goal is to beautify the appearance of the tape. We can add green color to the rice that has previously been mixed with raghi.
In addition to green, we can also give pink coloring, to make it interesting to look at.
The next stage is to take the rice, then we knead until it becomes round. It takes about 30 minutes during the tape-making process to become round.
After the process of rounding the tape is complete, the next step is that the tape must be cured for two nights. Then after two nights have passed, now the tape is cooked and we can enjoy its sweet and slightly sour taste. Tape can be eaten directly, but usually our people here enjoy tape mixed with coconut milk and red syrup.
Hmmm.... it tastes really good.
Tape is good for health, because it contains many vitamins and minerals. Tape is also good for those of you who suffer from colds, because it can help remove the bad wind from your body.
That's a glimpse of information about tape, I'm sure some of you also like to eat tape, right?
Best regards always.
