Don't forget the sliced chicken that has been finely chopped coated with thick sauce. And don't forget the spring onions, and celery leaves as a complement to the taste. For spicy lovers, add red chili sauce, mixed with finely ground cayenne pepper powder, can be used as a reference for enjoying mie kocok.
The taste is this, the sauce is very delicious. Mie kocok with a splash of thick curry sauce, makes the tongue of culinary connoisseurs sway. Mie kocok is a combination of Acehnese noodle cuisine, so both are still one family.
The noodles used are from a hereditary recipe, while the spices are mixed from various typical Acehnese spices. Among them are bay leaves, lemongrass, dried red chilies, garlic, shallots, pepper, coriander, and others. Here are the spices that have been ground.
Because my favorite food is mie kocok, Aceh noodles. Then I like to eat noodles with a spicy taste, and a little salty, and the taste is very good.
The presentation of the noodles is different from the curry sauce and pieces of chicken, making the aroma of spices strong, also making these noodles soft and chewy.
So, the noodles are soft, like they have the right texture. The aroma of the sauce is also very strong, not like people usually sell. Then the spices are felt on the tongue, it's really good 😋
Tape Dan Lugok
Oh yeah, maybe for those of you who don't like mie kocok, or Aceh noodles. I still have other typical Acehnese menus that are no less delicious. This is tape and lugok. Here I will show you the picture, maybe you like sweet things, you can try the following menu.
Tape and lugok are foods made from rice. The difference is that tape is made from ordinary rice, which is mixed with raghi, then stored for about 2 nights, to go through the fermentation period. While lugok, is made from sticky rice, and filled with banana inside. Then wrapped with banana leaf shoots. If you look at the shape, it is similar to timphan, but the contents are different. Well, lugok and tape, are very delicious when eaten together, because it will create a sour, salty, and sweet sensation on the tongue.
Tape is also very delicious when eaten with pulot, but because the stock of pulot has run out, and at home there is only lugok, so this is my lunch menu today. Lugok and tape, my mainstay to relieve hunger.
I rarely eat rice, because I don't like rice. Lugok and tape are made by my mother. This food is made as a snack when relaxing with your beloved family. From the results of the study, it was stated that someone who routinely consumes tape and lugok will strengthen bones, and smooth digestion, and is good for the heart, because of the natural content contained in it. But it is not recommended for pregnant women, they should not consume tape. Because the alcohol produced from raghi will harm the fetus.
Okay, that's all the information about Aceh's culinary specialties, hopefully there are benefits that can be obtained.
Greetings always compact.
