Hi everyone!
This is the 10th part of my series of writings about uncommon sea creatures. Today I would like to talk about the mythical-looking creature that lives under the sea surface 'Leafy Seadragon'.
It's one type of slow swimming creature whose habitat is only in the coastal area of southern Australia.
The life span of this interesting creature is 7-10 years, it can grow up to 14 cm when it's fully adult. They don't have any teeth the structure looks like a leaf and a part of a sea plant when it moves around underwater.
Their body is covered with hard shell and spines protects them from other predators.
The food chain of this strange organism is mostly planktons and small shrimps. It can easily camouflage itself from predators.
These creatures are in danger because of seawater pollution and collecting them from nature is illegal. So, you never should try to collect them.
Thanks for reading my post. Hope that you have learned something new. If you have ever seen this sea fascinating creature then comment below and let me know about it.😀
Best regards
