Hi everyone!
This is the 9th part of my series of writings about uncommon sea creatures. Today I would like to talk about the 'Gulper Eel' which is a tribe of Gulper Eel as there are various types of these that have been found in the deep sea.

There is a common characteristic of the Pelican bird that is similar to the Pelican eel which is its massive mouth. It can devour the prey larger than its size. Usually, Pelican eel can grow up to fifty centimeters.

These eels have large tails and at the end of the tails, there is a light-sensitive organ that can attract the prey towards it. The light-sensitive organ of the Pelican Eel emits pink color but it can also produce a red-colored flashlight.

The strange-looking pelican Eels can be found in the temperate and tropical water across the globe which is at least 1600 meters below the sea surface. They don't have any swim bladder like normal fishes and also no scales on their skin.

Thanks for reading my post. Hope that you have learned something new. If you have ever seen this sea fascinating creature then comment below and let me know about it.😀

Best regards
