GOD'S HAND ON THE PEOPLE TO DO
"AT THE SAME TIME, GOD'S HAND WAS ON THE PEOPLE IN THE LAND OF JUDAH, GIVING THEM ALL ONE HEART TO OBEY THE ORDERS OF THE KING AND HIS OFFICIALS, who were following the word of the Lord."
2 Chronicles 30:12 (NLT)
• The people were given a strong desire by God, to obey the king's order.
- The desire to do is always given by God when the leader is working according to God's instructions given to him or her (Philippians 2:13).
- The people of the land of Judah honoured the king and his officials because what they were commanded to do was God's Will.
- One of the signs to know that your leadership is not favoured by God is, when your subjects begin to rebel against the instructions you gave to them (1 Kings 12:17-19).
- The people under your leadership submit willingly If what you are doing is in line with God's Will, or plan, or agenda, for you (Psalm 110:3).
• When Moses was given a mandate or an instruction to build a tabernacle in the wilderness, he called the people together and shared the vision with them (Exodus 35:4-19). They left for their houses, but God did not leave them, He stirred their hearts to give their articles of gold, silver, and whatever (Exodus 35:20-29).
- They did that because God was the One Who instructed Moses to embark on the project (Exodus 35:4). If he was not commanded to do it, people's response would not be encouraging.
- Whatever you are not commanded to do, in the work of ministry, should not be embarked on. The Heart of people can only be stirred to do by God. If God opened their hearts to heed what you told them, you would see them give overwhelmingly (Exodus 36:2-7).
- The response gotten by a leader when he or she asked their people to give would largely depend on his or her intimacy with God.
- If a leader has trashed out with God, whatever he wanted to ask the people to do; relaying the message, or giving the outcome of his summit or meeting with God, to the people, would not be stressful; and the instruction or the message would not meet any opposition from them.
- The notion of building a tabernacle in the wilderness was not Moses idea, It was a command, an instruction, given by God. It was not conceived out of his, Moses', selfish or carnal idea or desire.
- Whatever would be done in the ministry leadership should be what the leader had taken time to discuss with God and received His approval before it is embarked on.
• People's Hearts are in God's hand (Proverbs 21:1).
- One of the major ways through which God speaks is inward witness. God gives desires for whatever He wanted to do in your life or what He wanted you to do (Philippians 2:13).
- If a strong desire to do a good thing comes up in you, especially about God's work, His Kingdom on Earth; the desire is probably given by God.
- God would give a Burden to you on whatever He wanted you to do. The reformation that took place at the time of Hezekiah which made the people of Judah responsive to the things of God, the Passover celebration, was God's hand, and was orchestrated by God (2 Chronicles 30:1-12).
THEY were under God's influence! - If someone could be influenced positively to do good, It also could happen the other way around. The devil is a counterfeiter, he also influences people to do contrary to God's Will or plan or work.
- God can influence the people under your leadership to do whatever, the good thing, He has bidden you to do.
- God would influence the people to follow the order you give, If you live for Him, and do things As He had commanded.
- If what you wanted to do would glorify God, He would influence the people to be committed to you; work with you for the success of the work or assignment.
- One of the reasons why you are being stressed out in what you are doing, could be, you are not commanded or instructed or sent or assigned to do it.
Would what you are doing glorify God; or It is being done for self-aggrandizement, to increase your self importance? - God would support and stir His people to also support whatever is commanded by Him, which is being done for the glorification of His name, and not for human ego Trip—something done primary to satisfy your vanity.
- When the decision made on your part is to expand and propagate His Word, Kingdom, you definitely would receive His support and that of the people you are assigned.
• In the day of His power, people shall be willing: "YOUR PEOPLE WILL OFFER THEMSELVES FREELY ON THE DAY OF YOUR POWER, in holy garments; from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours" (Psalm 110:3 ESV).
- When God is involved and His hand is on a thing, the willingness of the people would be uncompromising.
- Pray as a leader that God would burn into the people, or cause a strong impression, or engrave in the heart of the people to support the vision given to you:
"THE KING'S [the people's] HEART IS IN THE HAND OF THE LORD, LIKE THE RIVERS OF WATER; HE TURNS IT WHEREVER HE WISHES" (Proverbs 21:1 NKJV). - God would not move the people on the assignment He has not commanded you to do, but If He was the One who did, It surely would be accomplished.
- King Hezekiah and his officials were working by God's leading that was why they received the support of their people.
• Get God's hand on whatever you wanted to do in the ministry work. His hand is usually on what He commanded.
- If the certainty of God's approval were known, and the timing was right, the place or location was right, then, be assured of the success of whatever to be done.
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
- If you are battling with any ailment in your body as you read this, I declare your healing now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
- That which the devil planted in your body, working against your health and wellness, is cursed and uprooted in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Peace!
STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. Ask that He will write your name in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).
- If you took the steps As highlighted above, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!
