11 OH, PLEASE HELP US against our enemies, FOR ALL HUMAN HELP IS USELESS.
12 WITH GOD'S HELP WE WILL DO MIGHTY THINGS, FOR He will TRAMPLE DOWN our foes."
Psalm 60:11,12 (NLT)

• Humans' help should not be relied or focused on. If you trusted in humans' help, you would be disappointed: "GIVE US HELP FROM TROUBLE: FOR VAIN IS THE HELP OF MAN" (Psalm 60:11 KJV).

  • God's help makes things work. It makes you prevail in life—both in the physical aspect of life, and the spiritual.
  • The psalmist says, with God's help, mighty things would be done. This would be done because God would be there to trample down the foes of whoever belongs to Him—a believer in Christ Jesus.
  • If you allowed God in your life, and in every situation or circumstance of your life, He would be the One working whilst you would be used as a front—a nominal leader.
    (i) God is willing to help whoever follows Him faithfully, however, that would not be without the person's permission or cooperation.
  • God would help those who look up to Him for help, but not those who trust and lean on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5,6).
  • If all you depended on is your physical strength; your ability, the trust in the people you know or connection, and your material wealth, you might not receive God's help: "FOR BY [physical] STRENGTH NO MAN SHALL PREVAIL" (1 Samuel 2:9 NKJV).
(ii) Also, whoever wants God's help would walk or live in line with His principles, found in the Scriptures.
ONE of the vital principles of the Bible is holiness, which without no one would see God: "TRY TO STAY OUT OF ALL QUARRELS, AND SEEK TO LIVE A CLEAN AND HOLY LIFE, FOR ONE WHO IS NOT HOLY WILL NOT SEE THE LORD" (Hebrews 12:14 the Living Bible).

• Another way through which a believer can receive help from God is, telling Him about your needs through prayers.

  • Nothing can be received without telling Him in prayers: “AND in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, WHATEVER YOU ASK THE FATHER IN MY NAME HE WILL GIVE YOU" (John 16:23 NKJV).
  • Whatever result you would get, either in the physical or the things of the spirit, It would have to be through prayers.
  • It is when you have taken over in the spirit realm, through praying, that things begin to fall in place or take shape in the physical.
  • Receiving God's help is, when you walked in biblical principles, which is holiness, and lived a submissive life, and communicated your needs to Him in prayers.

• Learn how to supplicate, plead your case with God, in order to receive solutions or answers to whatever the need might be.

  • Whatever would be gotten from God had to be settled in the spirit realm. God is a Spirit, those who worship Him or relate with Him, had to do, worship, in the spirit and truth (John 4:24).
  • A believer's foremost responsibility is to build his or her relationship and fellowship with God intimately. Through this you would be able to trash out whatever the thing might be with God.
  • What makes the physical life of a believer colourful is the strength of his or her spiritual life.
  • Strive and endeavour to build your intimacy with God; build your fellowship with Him and discuss things that bothers, irritates or troubles, your heart with Him.
  • Do not embark on a thing which God has not approved, you might have to expended a lot of energy or stress to get it done or accomplished. If at all you were able to get it done! Whatever God has not approved would not be supported by Him!

• No one can help you without God's approval or permission:
"OH, PLEASE HELP US against our enemies, FOR ALL HUMAN HELP IS USELESS" (Psalm 60:11 NLT).

  • Whatever help you received from anyone, would be the one orchestrated by God. This is the reason why the praise or glory of your success or the favour you received, should not be given or ascribed to any person.
  • Although, you would have to be appreciative as a human, being grateful to the person whom God has used to bless you; however, right on the inside of you, you would know the person was just an instrument in God's hand. Thus, you would not have to idolize the person!

• Help comes from God only, but usually channelled through humans.

  • The human used by God should, however, not be turned to a god.
  • When you pray about a matter at hand, you are telling God that your trust is in Him. That what you have brought before Him cannot be handled by you. That without Him you can but do nothing (John 15:5).
  • Through praying you are acknowledging your helplessness, and showing your trust in God to help you. Through your prayers you are telling God your help can only come from Him.

• The believers who are lazy in prayers would rather take their matters to human beings, who cannot find a lasting solution to whatever they are passing through.
(i) Some believe in going to people first to ask help for their needs to be met. Although, this might not be bad completely, If you had prayed and God stirred your heart to meet someone, or another fellow believer, and share the matter with them to be assisted.
a. The point is, you should not cultivate the habit of going to people first, when a need arises in your life.
b. Tell the problem or need to God first, be patient and let Him lead you on how to go by it, for the need to be met.
(ii) And there are some, even believers, who said they believe in actions. That an action, or a step, had to be taken instantly, the prayers would not be necessary at such a time, you had to do something fast, in order to get a solution to the issue at hand.
(iii) Whilst some other people, Believers, would like to wish away their problems. a. The ones in this group do believe If they could pretend as If the problem does not exist or happen, or not real, the thing would not have any effect—it would just fizzle out, die a natural death.
b. But this would only amount to a delusion. Whatever the problem, you had to confront it, taking it up in prayer, and let God work and help in getting solutions to it.

  • If you approach life with any of the ways highlighted or mentioned above, you might stay long In whatever the problem or challenge is.
  • Let God know your problem, He is more than willing to help you. And the help needed by you, could only come from Him:
1 I WILL LIFT UP MY EYES TO THE HILLS [around Jerusalem, to sacred Mount Zion and Mount Moriah]—FROM WHENCE SHALL MY HELP COME?
2 MY HELP COMES FROM THE LORD, WHO MADE HEAVEN AND EARTH" (Psalm 121:1,2 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition).

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.

  • Should there be any ailment in your body, receive your healing now in Jesus' name.
  • The hold of sicknesses in your life is broken completely in Jesus' name.
    Peace!

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. Ask that He will write your name in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).

  • If you took the steps As highlighted above, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!
