Vegetables are edible parts of plants and are mostly consumed as food. They are a common source of vitamins to the human system. Show me a complete diet without vegetables. They are not only a source of vitamins but also palatable and delicious. We have a lot of vegetables which can be classified as:
Leafy Vegetables: Examples of this vegetables are cabbages, broccoli, water leaf, lettuce, pumpkin leaf etc.
Fruit Vegetables: Sometimes these vegetables are sometimes classified as fruits. Examples are tomatoes, cucumber, avocado etc.
Other vegetables include okra, carrot, onion, pepper, peas, etc.

I have eaten a lot of vegetables, and I have benefited from its numerous health benefits. Vegetables will always be a part of my diet. But out of all the vegetables, I have favourites; these are vegetables I enjoy because they are nutritious and has medicinal value. My favourite vegetables are:
1. Pumpkin Leaf |

Pumpkin leaf is a widely known vegetable in Nigeria, it does not only provide nutrition alone but also has very good medicinal value. This is one of my favourite vegetable and I eat it almost every week. It can be used to prepare soups, its juice can be drank with milk too.
It boosts the immune system: The immune system of humans helps to fight against strange things in the body like sicknesses. It is apparently known that the immune system needs to be strong at all cost to keep the body safe. An intake of this pumpkin leaf, helps to boost the immune system, thereby keeping the body healthy.
It has high concentration of vitamins A and C which helps to improve sight and keep the body fresh and protected.

Okra is a well known vegetable, known for its high vitamin c content and its ability to make a soup slimy. Okra is sliced into our soups to make the food slimy. It is a nutritious and medicinal vegetable.
It is high in vitamin C, which means it will protect the body from sickness and keep the body healthy.
Okra fights cancer due to the presence of antioxidants.
Okra helps to fight diabetes, this is because of its ability to lower blood sugar.
An intake of the above vegetables doesn't only guarantee nutritional value but also a lot of medicinal values which is not only limited to the ones discuss above.
