A spine is also known as backbone of our body and without backbone we cannot sit stand or cannot perform any function of the body and there are several vertebras present in our spine and they are divided into cervical, thoracic lumber,sacral and coccyx.
Spine consist of several vertebrae so if we talk about cervical region and lumber region then both of these regions are more susceptable to have an injury and more wear and tear occurs in cervical and lumber region from all the spine.
There are three abnormal curvatures of the spine that I would like to share with you guys but first I want to say that there are two normal curves present in our spine and the upper curve of the spine is called kyphotic curve and the lower curve in our spine is called lordotic curve.

Kyphosis is defined as outward curvature of spine from the top curve and if we talk about scoliosis then it is the abnormal lateral curvature of our spine and lordosis is the outward appearance of spine in the lower region of spine.
Wear and tear of the spinal structure is a very detailed topic to discuss but if we talk about it at a micro level then there are nerves present in our spinal canal that leaves from each vertebra so if any of the vertebra disk get herniated then due to disk herniation nerve impingment can be caused.

If I give you an example of it then if dis herniation occurs at the level of lumber vertebrates then it can cause shiatica pain by the compression of schiatic nerve as this nerve is also present in lumbar region and its supplies the whole leg so if this pain occurs then your whole lower limb will be affected.
