What is osteoporosis?
Osteoporosis is a word which is a combination of two words. The word osteo meaning bone and the word porous is originate from the word porus which means having pores or granules.
Causes of osteoporosis
There may be a lot of causes of the osteoporosis but the main cause of osteoporosis is the deficiency of essential vitamins and minerals in the body and specifically in the bones as you all know that calcium is required to our bones and vitamin d is also required for the integrity of the bones.
Vitamin d and calcium are both things which cannot be absorbed in the body if one of them is deficient.
What can happen if you have osteoporosis?
In osteoporosis the bones become brittle so first of all I want to tell about the actual meaning of brittle.
Brittle word means that your bones are hard but they are easy to break

If I give an example of daily life to understand you the brittle meaning then I will take Ice as an example. When you freeze water then you have seen that when water starts to freeze then just after 1 hour the ice becomes brittle means ice becomes but not go towards a lot of stiffness so if you tap something on ice then it easily break.
In this kind of ice you can also see some pores like structure with your naked eye and if we apply in the human bones than the same thing happens that pores formation occurs in bones do the deficiency of minerals specifically calcium.
What can be the treatment?
The treatment of osteoporosis maybe some exercises and maybe some meditations but before exercises meditations are important because you are bones are already becomes soft and porus so they cannot bear the load of exercise sometimes that's why it is important first to maintain the deficiency of essential minerals in your bones.

If we talk about exercise then it is according to the severity of the osteoporosis and recommended by physical therapist or trainer.
