Mental Health has something to do with how we think, feel and do. It includes our emotional, psychological and how we socialize with others. And each one of us has to be aware of this mental health because it is prone to depression. And I tell you, depression is not a joke, it is real and it is very dangerous. It will led you to think differently and act not normal, and worst it will led you to death.

According to what I read from Mayo Clinic Page, the following are the symptoms of mental health disorders:

  • too much sadness
  • out of focus
  • having fear of small things
  • mood swings
  • low energy
  • hallucinations
  • can't cope up stress
  • stress eating
  • violent
  • suicidal thinking

If you see any of the sign, seek immediately for an advice and never neglect what you felt before everything is too late.

The following are its causes:
Mental illnesses are said to be got by the environment, our past experiences and some are inherited.

  1. Inherited
Mental illness is prone to people which family and relatives who already had this illness. The flowing genes may increase the risk of developing it and your experiences in life especially the sad one may trigger it.

  2. Irresponsible Parent
Exposure to any stressors, problems, taking of drugs and alcohol while you are in the womb could sometimes be the cause of mental illness.

  3. Bad and Sad Experiences
Overthinking to past experiences also will lead to mental illness and worst to depression.

I am a DEPRESSION survivor

After I gave birth to my only child, I was so depressed and the anxiety is really attacking me. I am afraid to sleep, I am afraid to the dark and loud noise, I am also afraid to be alone. I sometimes overthink of small things and I always felt that the people that surrounds me always backbite me. In short, I think negatively. I keep on crying and think so deeply.

How I survived?

I experienced it for three months, I thought I will not survive it and will not bring my life to normal again. I almost came to the point that I had to go to the psychiatrist. But what help my mind calm were the people who always shared good news to me, they always told me to think positively. Depression and anxiety is just the power of our mind, the only way to get out of it is we should think positive and never overthink. We need to think that challenges came and we need to handle it with a smile.

Worship songs and reading bible also helped me survived from depression.

And now, I am now bringing with me the big smile and a positive mind. My life also already back to normal. The changes brought by having a baby and married life already became normal life for me. And I thank God for that and to those people who helped me survived especially my family who always there for me.

I am inviting my friends @georgie84, @jes88 and @fabio2614 to share their contest entry here and advice everyone how you manage your stress.

Sincerely,

[K Y R I E 1 2 3 4]
