Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 73: Together as One

Like they always say, sometimes life throw to us what we expect least and we just need to accept it as it comes. Today I will be participating in the Steem4Nigeria Community contest and be sharing my view how far this year have gone.

When it comes to the Steemit platforms, there are several ways it helps to connect people together which I will like to talk about also

• Availability Of Communities: Steemit is designed in a way whereby it has a lot of communities. Example of them is even Steem4nigeria and these communities are designed in a way whereby it create massive interactions with people all over the world irrespective of where you come from.

• Different Content Categories: One of the things I really love about Steemit is the fact that there are wide range of contents categories you can actually applied on the Steemit platform which is very good. If you are a lover of photography, vlog, writing or stories. Any type of content you want, Steemit has it and this helps to connect people all together the world.

• The Reward System: I would like to add to this also that the reward system that Steemit created goes a long way to encourage massive connection with people all over the world because of the reward system also actually.

I personally, there are a whole lot of things that I believe makes me feel part of the Steemit community which I will like to talk about briefly.

• Shared Values of Decentralization and Empowerment: This is the first one. The fact that Steemit runs on Decentralisation which is different from the usual centralised media I have been used to. Not only that, it creates a system of empowerment for a lot of users also.

• Opportunity to Share Unique Stories and Ideas: The fact that I am able to share my unique stories which can range from my own ideas, my own personal experience and many more also makes me feel to be part of the platform.

• Rewarding Engagement: This is the last one. Everyone will agree with me that the reward system of the Steemit platform goes a long way to motivate the reason why I feel belonged because I have a reason to be here because I know I am rewarded for my effort also which is a very major importance.

There is a need for us to support each other on Steemit if we want to be sustained for so long and that is just what I will establish below.

• It will increase Participation: The more we support each other on Steemit, the more we will have a massive rise in engagement and the more we will have a lot of engagement in terms of upvotes, comments and many more.

• It will make our community stronger: Another importance is the fact that it will help to make sure that the community is stronger because there is a way support makes us to stronger than ever before.

• It will enhance Growth And Learning: This is the last one. The more we support ourselves, the more it will encourage us to grow and learn the more because there will be quality posts, quality comments and many more that will encourage growth.

There are actually a number of ways I believe we can help new users feel welcome so that they can even be able to stay and interact with the system much more than before.

• Engage With Their Content: This will be the first for me. I have been in this shoe in my early days on Steemit when I continue to post but nobody is actually engaging my post. In a matter of time, I actually was frustrated that I gave up. I believe strongly that we can actually engage in their contents and make sure that we make them feel welcome. We can engage their post, read through and even drop upvotes for their post.

• Offer Guidance: As we all know, new users know little about the platform. We should be there to offer them the necessary guidance they need which can range from sharing tips with them, helping them write their post and many more. We should just be there to provide answers to their questions as regards the Steemit platform.

• Encourage Interaction: Then lastly, we should make sure that we encourage interaction with them so as to motivate them to keep going. We should encourage them to interact with other people post also so that they will start building relationships with others Steemians.
