How to extract palm oil from palm fruits

Hello friends from home and abroad warm greetings from my heart, thank God is Monday (TGIM) and am so grateful for your support and I appreciate it. Today I'll much more happy to show you the locally way on how to extract oil from palm fruits.

Palm oil is the most consumed and oldest cooking oil in Nigeria, palm oil is very vital to the society which we all know. Palm oil can be used to prepare delicious dishes such as, egusi soup gbegiri soup, ogbonno soup etc.,

How to extract palm oil from palm fruit at home, palm oil extraction process

I:After cutting it from the bunch Wash the palm fruits (banga), put it into a big pot that can contain the quantity put water, make sure the water cover the palm fruits in the pot. Let it boil for about 30 minutes depending on the quantity till the husk is tender.

II:Turn the water out of the pot and put the palm fruits in a mortar in batches. Pound till the husk comes off the kernel seed.

III: fetch out the pounded fruit(banga) in batches and put into a big pot/pan. Add hot water that is not too harsh on your skin. In batches.

IV:Gently squeeze the palm fruit(banga) Liquid out of the kernels seed. Then use a colander to sieve out the squeezed liquid into a clean pot.

V: Boil the squeezed liquid in the pot till the water evaporates. What will be left in the pot is your fresh palm oil can be used to prepare (banga soup) or other purposes.
