Hello everyone, it's great to be here once again, I welcome you to my blog. this time, I shall be sharing my thought on the contest ongoing in the Steem4Nigeria community with the theme: Opportunity Comes but Once.
What I understood by the word "Opportunity" means Chance, it means being given the chance to do something very progressive In one's life, at a time in life, every human has been opportune in one way or the other, the circumstance might just be different in some other cases.
Opportunity means chance, which means taking advantage of a moment for your gains, opportunity doesn't come lying around or is something we see every day, it's very scarce, it's a moment that could bring a change to one's life, so "opportunity" is one of the greatest chance humans can ever encounter to change his current state, both in emotion or in finance.
Opportunity is mostly used when you secured a well-paying job, or when you got the right partner that matches your energy, things like this rarely occur, which is why it has been categorized as an opportunity as you got one out of a million chance of making a change.
Yes, I agree with the statement, thou the statement is shaky a little bit, but when we look at a great circumstance of it, we could conclude that Opportunity only comes but once.
Opportunity is the greatest chance that could occur to make changes to one's current state, so things like this rarely occur, and chance, when missed, can never be recounted again,
Even life itself is an opportunity to continue breathing, so if at all there is a case where one is not given the chance to breathe, that means one will stop existing at the moment, so every opportunity, only comes to us at once, if wasted, it could be hard to come by again.
There are some instances when people often use this word when they are trying to get you to make their deal even though it's not a good chance for you, but the fear of losing the chance at the moment might make you fall a victim to this word.
So the statement is misleading on some occasions, but in general, opportunity only comes but once, which means when missed it could never be recounted again, the statement is as real as it gets , because there are certain circumstances that we could never get back when we missed the chance.
Yes, I have a brother that has a personal experience with a missing opportunity which I shall narrate his story below;
When my brother graduated from physics(BSc), he was given the chance to further a scholarship abroad, but for the reason I don't know he chooses to deny this scholarship and started working here in Nigeria, even though the job was well-paying at the moment he started and everything was going smooth for him, then at some point, this funds no longer sustain him as he only has the Undergraduate certificate.
Now he's willing to further his education at the master's level, he wanted to consider the same abroad which is no longer affordable for him, he has missed the chance then, now he wants to repay for it with money, but despite that, he still couldn't get the entry and the fees is just beyond bearable for him, and during this process of abroad, he also got scammed to the wrong agencies, it was then he utters the word "Hardly been I had taken that opportunity then, this couldn't have happened".
So we could see that opportunity only comes at once, opportunity is enough to make great changes to our lives, it occurs once in a lifetime, and missing this could cause a great wound to our life activities, and also scar us for life.
Opportunity is a great circumstance that could change our life completely and they vary as well, there are some that we consider a big opportunity, and things like this rarely occur, and when missed, they could not be considered again.
Time is of the essence, for every seconds comes an opportunity, they are things we don't play around with, we use the time we have to channel any opportunity we come across.
For every opportunity, consider the weight of the good and bad outcomes of its result, if the good surpasses the bad, then it is a great opportunity, and such cases should not be missed under any circumstance.
