I request your permission to take you on a tour of My Town Bonny Island in 10 Pics.

Introduction

You probably have heard of the Top oil rich States in Nigeria of which Rivers State is among, it'll interest you also to know the about the particular place that produces oil in Rivers State I guess, and if so then you have yourself to relax and read below the lines.

The popular island Bonny is that which is located at in southern side of the state. The area which isn't much far from the capital city Port Harcourt is best known for producing oil and having constant electricity power incomparable to any other place in the country. In this post, I'll take you through some areas along the popular Oguede Road and Abalamabie Road.

Pics 1: Coconut Estate

You can see the beach with goods being offloading from ships yet it's called cocoanut estate, you don't need to be confused. This area is known with that name because of the much coconut tree in the area. Here, ships import lots of different goods at least twice a week.

This magistrate court is located direct opposite the LNG information centre which in turn isn't too far from Ibanise hall.

As the name goes information centre, it's where informations about job opportunities, scholarship opportunities, employment vacancies, all informations you need to know about LNG, news and other vital informations can be gotten.

Just like township halls that can be found in most cities, we have Ibanise hall here along the Oguede Road. Youths holds their meetings here sometimes as well as pupils on cultural days and lots others.

The Bonny vocational centre is an institution of learning. Here, you can learn short as well as professional courses. You can learn different technical skills here also.
One cool thing about it is that, it's absolutely free to learn here .

The forward operation base Bonny is a Navy Barrack.
The island has Navy Barrack too and can as well be found on this Oguede Road. Dont mind how I managed to capture this place with my phone, knowing fully well that it wouldn't have gone well if the soldiers noticed.

Bonny Trade Square is a business estate building located at Akiama, Bonny city. It's an estate and facility type of business management.

Pics 8: Oil and Gas Poly Bonny

This is the popular Federal Polytechnic of oil and gas, Bonny island that you must have heard of. It's one and at present, only oil and gas poly in the country.

Pics 9: Fullmoon Supermarket

This is newly built supermarket along Abalamabie Road. It was launched earlier this year precisely in April. It's quite big but yet to be filled with goods.

Pic 10: Saint Elizabeth Catholic Church Akiama

This is one of the only two Catholic church that exists in the Bonny island. The Saint Elizabeth Catholic Church is located at Abalamabie Road also.
