I am participating in the contest hosted in the @ruthjoe . It is entitled Leisure Time!!
I will be using the contest tips to explain more in this contest.
In your own words and from your opinion, what do you think the word leisure time means.
I can explain leisure time to be the time you have and you use it to do the things you enjoy doing, without it being to work in order to make money.
Why I added the sentence highlighted is because, for some people, what they enjoy during leisure time may be regarded as work by others. But doing that gives them much joy and satisfaction.
So it is a spare time, free from the bossy conditions we have at our work places,, we explore with it and do certain things we may be conjuring for a long time in our minds.
What category of person's do you fall in from the short description I gave in my introduction? The first category or second? And why do you think so?
The two categories you stated in your introduction seems to me, as the extreme part of working and seeking fun and pleasure.
Being a workaholic is bad. I have had the experience while working in a part of the financial sector in Nigeria. You leave the house very early in the morning and come back late when the children have gone to bed. It is not funny at all. The other part is also not acceptable. If we always seek for pleasure or fun, we will end up in Poverty.
So I do not belong to any of the two categories, but belong to the group that appreciate balancing work and pleasure. Keeping it balanced is the best way to enjoy both.
Do you have a set aside time for leisure? If yes tell us about it and if no, then tell us why.
As a family man, I set aside time for pleasure with my family.and sometimes with my wife alone. You know there is a saying that says body no be firewood. We make out time to go to some spicy spots within the time we residing in end enjoy grilled fish and other wonderful cusines together. Other times too, we arrange and prepare some special delicacies at home with the children. Such times are always fun for the entire family. Once in a while too, we invite friends and families over to the house to enjoy such moments with them. Those moments are unforgettable moments.
I do not also forget having special times with my wife alone. You know, when the children leave home, it will only be two of you. So you need to renew the friendship and oil it every now and then.
What activities do you do in your leisure time?
Like I mentioned earlier, we go to spicy spots or centres in my current city of residence, we go to football fields and exercise together with other friends as a family.
We cook and eat special food together as a family. We also invite friends to join us in the preparation, cooking and eating too. We play games together, watch films together and have funny discussions as a family together.
You may wonder, why I always mention cooking? It is because my family enjoys that special moment a lot.
Conclusion
It is always great to have leisure time for yourself and the family. It brings us together and it is also an avenue through which you know your children better.
