Togetherness is a star of bond between two or multiple people. It is a feeling that doesn't give room to loneliness. It is knowing that you are not alone in this big, big world. It is knowing that you have support in the good and bad days, it is a beautiful kinship.

Creating impactful communities is essential in all aspects of our lives. In this digital age, reaching out to people is easier than ever. Smooth, quick and effective scheduling of plans, events and updates can happen regardless of distance and uncontrollable circumstances.

I think that all activities bring people together- teaching, learning, writing, singing, tennis, etc. All kinds of games, art, education, and business, if it is done with enough enthusiasm brings people together. With the right factors, external or internal, manipulated or not, any activity can foster a community.

Togetherness between people faces obstacles, defying the goal of unity. The major obstacles are:

  1. Personal Bias: People may hold skewed personal perspectives and prejudice which will hinder the bond between prospective friends.
  2. Technological Limit: Some people may not own a proper cellular device to communicate plans and ideas. Considering that most update communications is centered online, this may cause irregularity, and consequently, indifference. There is also the case of age: children who cannot own phones and elderlies who cannot properly operate one.
  3. External Circumstance: People may struggle with different things at the same time causing inflexibility and inconsistency among them.

Through fostered bonds (togetherness), we can easily identify our ups and downs and so offer appropriate remedies.

  1. We should check-in with our friends as often as we can.
  2. Planning get-togethers or events to support and cheer on each other.
  3. Providing financial aid if possible.
