THE NIGERIAN ARMED FORCES REMEMBRANCE DAY
It is an annual celebration that is organized to honor members of the Nigerian armed forces and its veterans; it Is observed every January 15 of every year. This event is held at the federal, state, and local levels.
Two months before this special day, the Ministry of Defence will organize a 25-man national planning committee to oversee the preparations against the day. On that day, military parades which involve a guard of honor from the Nigerian army, Nigerian navy, and the Nigerian airforce will take, the laying ceremony by the president of Nigeria to the national cenotaph in Abuja Eagle Square will also be a part of the event, authorities will lay a wreath for the 36 federal cenotaphs places in the special armed forces remembrance Day.
January 15 is the day set aside to celebrate military heroes in the Nigerian armed forces who sacrificed their lives for the nation, it is also a day that the military people who are at the war front to protect the nation in different places are celebrated, soldiers who were at the world war one and two are also honored on this day.
When Nigeria was a British colony, this day was always celebrated on the 11 of November together with other parts of the world in honor of the end of the First World War, but when the Nigerian government gained victory over the Biafran troops on January 15, 1970, they move the holiday from the calendar of the nation's commonwealth and change it to January 15 to remember the conclusion of the Nigerian civil war that almost disrupt the unity of Nigeria.

MODs Comment/Recommendation:
The Armed Forces Remembrance Day is a great way to honor those who have served and sacrificed for the nation. The military parades and ceremonies, including the laying of wreaths, really highlight the respect and gratitude for the armed forces. It’s a special day to remember both past and present heroes who protect the country.

@sahmie, were these images sourced from canva or are they Internet images designed in canva? I do not think these military personnels could be sourced through that channel.
