Good afternoon friends. It is another great Friday and weekend ahead. I bring you the warmest greetings this period has in stock. It is another day to share my some of kitchen and health concerns as we continue to merry with our meals. There are meals when we consume them, bringing about improved recovery from our sick conditions.

Since the recent covid'19 outbreak, it has dawned on humans to be intentional about being healthy and maintaining a strong immune system. This has improved the body's defense system against viral., bacterial, and pathogenic infections. In this, I will be sharing a few meals that are necessary for our consumption when we are ill. These meals are capable of boosting our immune system. Emphasis to be on COLD because of the peculiarity of our season (Rainy Season) down here.

Chicken Soup against Cold:

I can remember when mom would always mention this remedy during my growing up when we are sick. It turned out to be a reality as this worked just as explained. When cold viruses which we usually see affecting the upper respiratory tract. And when this happens, there is an unusual white blood cell rush into this inflamed read and hence causing mucus. What ingredients in chicken soup does is stop this unusual white blood cell rush and thereby decrease the mucus buildup associated with the cold.

More Cold-Fighting Remedies:

Aside getting the chicken soup, there are also other remedies that help get over cold more quickly. Sipping of warm water is one of them. This mat come in the form of ginger tea and lemon water. Generally, staying hydrated is one major secret that helps thin mucus secretion and as well ads in flushing out the virus from the system. To help reduce the duration from cold symptoms, taking zinc lozenges, syrups or tablets are good supplements. Also, taking of vitamin C supplement during cold periods would help ease cold symptoms paraventure is comes.

Using ginger helps fight out oxidative stress and helps guard one from arthritis, cancer, and neurodegenerative disorders. They can be used while cooking, grated, and put in warm water as tea, etc.

In conclusion, we have to eat healthily and be driven by one purpose which is to be conscious of our immune system. When we boost our immune system, there is every likelihood that we stay far from infections and diseases. And even when we contact any of these, they are mild without any strong effect and also recovery.
