Nigeria, my country! A country of abundance, emdowed with many mineral resources. The sixth largest producer of crude oil in the world and probably the second in Africa. But will all these mentioned parameters translate into greatest. Maybe we will have to watch in my article to ascertain the pros or cons yet to be unleashed.

what is the situation in your country currently? Has items in your country increased in price lately?

My country has not found itself in this type of situation before. The country is almost at its knees. The situation is worrisome. It is a situation we do not wish to keep our minds at to avoid depression. We are peesently facing an economic problem that has kept us below the bar.

The situation is almost hopeless. We do not know what next would happen as the managers of the country seem clueless of which way forward. The price of everything is on the increase. Just name it, from food items to electricity, from import duties to increasing taxes, from building materials to transportation fares. Every damn thing is out of the windows.

Mention 5 items in your country that have increased in price. How much was it before, and how much does it cost now( it will be nice to also show the price in steem)

How are you coping with the difficulties in your country, and what do you think is causing these difficulties?

Every living person is passing through difficult times except politicians who are becoming richer. All I do is thrive to make ends daily, though, with a shaky job. Blogging here and earning the little helps me. A steem is worth 270 NGN, so earning here should help me settle bills.

Even the blind knows the problem of our present situation. Since the entrance of this present leadership, things didn't remain the same. Subsidy was removed, and the Naira currency was floated. This had a terrible impact on the economy, and this is it now for everyone.

I do not believe those policies were well thought out. It was premature and not timely done. The country is on its knees and bleeding. Investors do not have confidence in the government anymore as they leave the country in their numbers. There are insufficient forex to seeve trade concerns

If you have an opportunity to leave your country to another country for greener pastures, which country would you like to travel to and why?

I have been wanting to leave the country already, and my preferred country of choice is the United Kingdom. This is a destination that would allow me to settle down more quivkly given its polices. Moreover, having relatives there is an added advantage to help in settling and mastering the system.

It also hosts one of the top universities in the world, which can also help me enrol for better career growth. I believe it is a country that does not segregate glaringly people of colour.

Thank you, friends! This is my entry.
