it's my pleasure for joining in this week's contest by this great community about my favorite game/sport and below is a full gist on my game preference.

A brief history of my favorite sports

There are different sports and recreational activities around the globe and most of these games have gained international popularity and had also influenced people in different ways. These games ranges from; Javelin throw, shot put, horse raise, jumping, running, football, tennis play, skipping, basketball etc.

Nonetheless amongst these games, I have a stronger acceptance and passion for only one of them which is "football" and this has been my favourite sports from childhood till date.

There were several ways people played football at different regions of the world which contemporarily could be considered as inappropriate till around the 19th century when the game was modernized in Britain with a more precise rules that guilds the game and it was majorly played then in public schools but prior to this time, the apex governing body of the game (FIFA) has been formed in 1904 to overseer and amend the rules that guilds the game and this association has also strived till date.

This game is professionally played by 22 players which only 11 persons makes a team while the other 11 makes an opponent team.

The game has a maximum time limit of 90min. but can only exceed that where an extra time is awarded, when the game compulsorily demands a winning by either of the team, then an extra time may be awarded or a penalty shoot being given to have a true winner.

There are still other rules that guilds the game like: a player must play nothing than the football, the ball must cross the post line before it could be awarded as a goal, the ball must not touch a players hand while the game is still on and so many other rules.

The attractions behind my choice of this sport

I had loved this game from childhood and I had also played it from childhood but decided to have it as my leisure game than a profession because of the nature of my country where talented players are chosen not because they can play skilfully but because of the bribe they can offer so as to be selected to play.

Nevertheless, I was attracted to this game because of how organized it is. for instance if a team is set to play, they must appear in uniform and the play ground looks less harmful where there are umpires that regulates the actions and behaviours of all players in the pitch.

I was also attracted to this game because a player does nott need to play till extremity where you may not have the strength to either run or even play but one can be substituted once he's exhausted or slightly injured.

Better ways of improving my favorite sport to make it more acceptable

Yeah, I believe that this game needs assistance especially in some of the African countries and most other Nations although it has the highest number of participants, spectators and global adoption, but it still needs to be enhanced to the optimum.

It is clear that the value that is conferred by any game is specifically contingent upon the quality of players that it conveys. for instance, many people loved wrestling because of John Cena, Undertaker Hock Hogan, Brock Lesnar etc and some other persons also loved basketball because of the then Micheal Jordan and so forth.

But as a nitigrity, if quality and skillfull players are fully involved in this game, it will excel more than what we are currently observing. For instance most people loved football because if J. J. Okocha, Nwankwo Kalu, Pele, Ronaldinho, C. Ronaldo etc.

For a better improvement in this game, there is the need for skilfull and quality players who will spice the game again to gain more acceptance.

Why I prefer this game to other sports.

This game is really a game of reality. for instance many people have questioned the reality of wrestling, golf play and most sports, but in football, we can attest to the reality of the players and their actions, I also like this game because its full of actions and less of injury. its a game that gives happiness even if it is your enemy that's in the pitch, and finally it's a game of all gender.

Those attractions behind my choice of this sport.

while I was still tender, I used to watch Nwankwo Kalu and J. J. Okocha with their team mate play in our National team, so from how they were admired, I started developing stronger enthusiasm for football and then we used to call ourselves by their names and also started mimicking their skills of play till the game because part of my Life.

So the major attraction was not really that I love to sweat but the persons involved gingered my moral to love and embrace the game the more.

Conclusion

Finally, football is my best game and I'd loved to play it overtime not really as a profession, since I've not met with the opportunity currently, but I jauntily and happily play it at my leisure and also in most tournaments when invited. I also believe that it will gain more prominence when more skillful players get in the game.
