SEC WKS: The Language in my Country.

INTRODUCTION

Language, as defined by Webster's Dictionary, is a body of words and a set of methods for combining them (called grammar), understood by a community and used as a form of communication. Oxford Dictionary further elaborates, describing language as the principal method of human communication, consisting of words used in a structured and conventional way, conveyed through speech, writing, or gesture. AMONG THE LISTED LANGUAGES IN YOUR COUNTRY, HOW MANY AM I FAMILIAR WITH?

Personally, I am conversant and familiar with three Nigerian languages: Igbo, Ibibio, and Yoruba.

HOW HAVE THESE LANGUAGES IMPROVED / HELPED MY LIFE AND BUSINESS?

These languages serve as a vital connection to my roots, enabling me to seamlessly identify with my people, regardless of my location. Moreover, speaking these languages has provided insights into how different communities perceive and understand life.

AM I WILLING TO TEACH MY CHILDREN THESE LANGUAGES ?

Of course, yes. Considering the profound impact of language on identity and unity, I am committed to passing on this linguistic heritage to my children. In addition to English, the official language, I aim to instill in them a knowledge of Igbo, Ibibio, and Yoruba.
Research indicates that fluency in others' languages fosters goodwill, increasing social integration.

Greetings dear brother

I am surprised to know that there are more than 500 languages spoken in the country you live in, it's really surprising, but you have covered it nicely in your post, good luck to you in this competition, stay well.

Thank you so much sir. God bless you.

Nicely written and apt, Nigeria is very vast and diverse and I sometimes wonder how over 500 languages can exist in a country. I admire the fact that you can speak 3 native languages. That is something I find very tasking, maybe because a my life I grew up in my state. Nonetheless I wish you the best in this engagement challenge. Do well to comment on other people's post to increase your chances. Also edit your post and make newcomer the first tag and steem4nigeria-s15w2 should be your second tag which is the competition tag. Without that your entry maybe deemed invalid. Cheers.
