How do you manage to stay calm during an argument?

The methods that I usually use to stay calm during an argument are as follows:

I make sure not to open my mouth to say anything by keeping silent and continue listening to the arguments.

This is because I want to listen very carefully and also, I want to control myself to avoid saying anything that will push the person arguing into more argument.

After I finish listening to the arguments, I normally take the time to reason what the person is saying and also reason what will come out of my mouth just to make sure that it will not cause further arguments that will result in further conflict.

I have been doing this all my life and this method helps me control myself during an argument because most time during the argument, the person arguing is not always far from the truth and sometimes, the person will be very far from the truth so the best thing to do is to remain silent and listen very carefully so that you will know if the person right or wrong.

It is very important to keep quiet and listen to an argument before saying a word to avoid further arguments between you and the person arguing.

Why is it important to listen carefully during a disagreement?

It is very important to listen carefully during an argument because it is when you listen to everything from the person who is arguing with you before you can be able to reason within yourself and give a suitable response that will not cause further disagreement between the both of you.

It could be that you are the one at fault and the person who is disagreeing with you is saying all manner of things to you because of how painful the situation is to him or her and because the person doesn't have the patient heart to bear the situation or to talk to you in a manner that you will understand.

So as a person, you must listen carefully during a disagreement before chipping into the whole matter.

How does understanding someone else's feelings help in resolving conflicts?

It is very important to understand someone's feelings in resolving conflicts this is because the person might be right with all that he or she is saying but because the person lacks patience or manners to talk to you in a polite way or in a manner that you both will understand each other
That is why you need to remain silent and listen to the person before responding in a manner that we come the passing down and that will also give the person reason to divert from his or her hash statements to good ones

Also, as soon I discovered that I was at fault, sorry is my language, whatever the person is saying all I will say is sorry sorry because I came to understand that sorry is the solution.

The easiest way for a person to control an anger during an argument is as follows:

The number one of it all is to stay quiet during an argument and listen carefully to the person arguing before giving a response.

it is not always easy but what one needs to do is to hold a breath and try as possible to control yourself so that words should not come out of your mouth.

I don't know for other people for me this is one of the easiest ways that I normally control my anger during an argument also I usually sing the song even though it might sound so annoying to the person who is saying the argument but I always used to make sure that what the person is saying is wrong before I start the song you but the most important thing to me is that the song this will help me not to alter a word in my mouth because I believe that any word that will be coming out of my mouth without me thinking twice or have a second thought about it, I might end up saying a lot of things that will cause further arguments.
