Am always delighted to participate in this contest titled my neighborhood watch week 58 where I am able to share the current happening taking place in my neighborhood. Much thanks to @xkool24 for organizing such a wonderful and enjoyable contest each week. Without wasting much time I will be dropping my entry on this contest.

It's so disheartening when i see natural disaster destroying homes and property, here in Nigeria the only natural disaster we face is flooding and I can boldly say that we are the cause of it. Flooding is really a terrible thing to happen to any neighborhood and believe me when I say this that we are the cause of our problem. As we dive into the month of rain and everyday we experience what I call heavy rain fall which may lead to flooding in some areas, I can still remember 2022 where we experience one of the most tragic events here in Nigeria where many people lost their lives, homes and property due to flooding, though my neighborhood was not affected by this catastrophic event but I watched it on the news and saw countless lives lost because of this and i kept wondering if this could happen their , it could also happen here and to be honest Nigerian are not helping matters.

I live in one of the busiest areas one could ever imagine and living in a busy area means seeing things you wouldn't wish to see. Imagine waking up in the morning and when you step out of your house for a morning stroll and what you see is Liters of all sort of dirt all over the environment, this even gets worse when there is a heavy rain fall.

At the peak of the heavy rain I see many Nigerian come out of their homes with a bucket full of dirty and they throw it into the gutters, I ask all Nigerian across the globe who indulge in this act is flooding worth spending N100 or N200 to discard your waste. I am writing this post not to shame or accuse anybody but I simply write for us to see the devastating effects of this act most Nigerian indulge in.

Like I said in my neighborhood we have been experience what I call heavy rain for the past two weeks and it occurs almost everyday and as a result has led to flood in some places, it is true that we can't stop nature but we can influence it by our action. Natural disaster like earthquake, tornado and storms do occur in different countries but here in Nigeria we are opportune to see only flooding and instead of us to look for a way to reduce it we continuously make it worst. A clean surroundings is a collective effort, be more responsible and let's make our environment clean and safe from disease and flood to prevent loss of lives and property, be our neighbors keeper and help prevent this by reporting anyone who engage in this act to the police and enlighten people who are ignorance of the dangers it causes.

I would like to invite @mhizta @impersonal and @entity01 to also share the events happening in their neighborhood as well.

I love how you sounded about diaster, actually, disaster is a disheartening something that is capable of breaking a person's heart. I wish you success in your entry.

Thank you for your time on my post

It saddens my heart when things that should be done rightly are not done. What happens to the central waste bin, or people that pack those waste to pour in the waste central bin. Those people are doing it as their daily work. Paying them 100 or 200 is what put food on their table. Hmmm If it continues like this, more cholera outbreak will be the announcement. Goodluck to you in this contest

It is same here also. Part of our neighborhood is also waterlogged in the rainy season. Many districts also suffer from flood. Wish you success in the dynamic.
