The NIMI Twins First Christmas

Introduction

It's the Christmas season, a season filled with extending love to known and unknown people through the love of God. Christ is the reason for the season and we are extremely glad to celebrate the birth of our saviour. It's a unique one this year because my twins are witnessing their first Christmas.

Chloe and Olivia's First Christmas

We are more than happy to see our twins growing from strength to strength over the past few months, they have been a source of joy and inspiration to the family since their arrival. They hit the 8-month mark yesterday, which is the 23rd of the month, and it feels so good to see them witnessing their first Christmas.

We stepped out a few weeks ago to get the kids ready for their first Christmas, and it was a whole new and lots of experience for us as new parents, but every bit of it was worth it. From getting their clothes, footwear, food and other stuff.

Our twins were unable to attend the children's Christmas carol in church because their mother was on duty, and we have not groomed them to be in the custody of another person for so long yet. It was nice seeing them trying on their beautiful clothes inside the house.

You know what it feels like to take pictures of little kids like this? It's a whole lot of patience and endurance (lol...) to come out with the desired result, but their mother and I pulled up with amazing shots.

Singing some of their favourite nursery rhymes goes a long way to achieve the shots we aimed at as the twins were seen clapping, dancing and displaying other gestures of happiness and that takes us closer to achieving our aims.

The most difficult shot to get is the one where their mother appears, it takes several shots to achieve an averagely good one because she does more of the children's rhyme recitation that excites them but now she goes behind them for a shot.

We travelled down to the village yesterday, and we met a heap of gifts from their grandparents. As parents, it's a Christmas to remember, and the kids will understand that better in a few years.

Looking back on the journey, with these little ones, we can confidently say Emmanuel - God is with Us. From ours to yours, Have a blessed Christmas!
