Hello Friends!

How is your weekend going? I believe you've enjoyed every bit of it, mine is splendid but a bit hectic, can you imagine that they've sent more than 10 homework for my kids Gosh! I was like why this school doesn't allow kids to be kids? But on second thought, it's good because it instills the reading habit in them and helps them to be responsible. Okay, so I want to share how I spent my yesterday with you.

It was a Saturday so I slept till dawn, when I woke up I prepared our local food Afia Efere and Usong udia for my family breakfast, this food is one of my favorites. We all worshiped God together in the morning then I freshened up, and slept again till 11 in the morning. I was relieved 😅 when I woke.

I took my baby for her second month immunization, this was the third time she received immunization, the first one was at a birthday the second one at 6 weeks and the third one was at 10 weeks. I ordered a cap on the bolt, the immunization center is not far from my home though, it was a 7mins drive. I got there and thank Goodness there was no crowd, so I gave the health attendant her card to record, then I weigh her. My baby is growing 💗

She was given two different vaccination, Pentavalent was injected in her right lap while PCV-Pneumococcal was on the left side. The importance of these vaccines can't be overstated, for example, the Penta vaccine protects children against potential killers like Tetanus, Hepatitis B, Diphtheria, Pertussis, and Hib. This vaccine helps in reducing a good number of pricks in kids. We can prevent the above disease by giving the Penta vaccine 3 times to our kids. This was my baby's second time.

The vaccine doesn't have any serious side effects than fever, and mild pains so I was told to give her paracetamol if she runs temperature. But thank God this second dose did not disturb her as the first one.

The PCV- Pneumococcal vaccine help in fighting against thirteen different types of pneumococcal bacteria that can make children to have infections.

I don't joke about immunizing my kids, as it's protecting them against serious diseases. Immunization helps us to better fight some diseases if we come in contact with them. It's important we immunized our kids this time because healthy children mean a brighter future!

I spent less than an hour in the hospital, less I forget the immunization was free. Coming back I helped my kids with their homework, O My this particular task can be drenching, you need patience and endurance but it's okay it gives me joy to be imparting knowledge to these young minds after all this is what mothers do, and as a teacher too.

My 5 Years old son was given Homework on quantitative reasoning, verbal reasoning Arithmetic, Measurement, Abacus, and Grammer. His younger brother who is interested in Nursery 1 class was given in Number work, letter work, sight words, and coloring, They've done 85% of it.

I went to the market in the evening to buy some groceries for stew, I also bought chicken. I spent 45 minutes in the market, and coming back I prepared the stew and then showered, I was viewing a football match while typing this post but I dose off, so it was a day. Thanks for reading me!
