What are some things I've achieved and lost in 2022 or so far in 2023?

I'll start with what I've achieved. One of the things I've achieved is becoming a developer. I started learning to code and my goal was to become a front-end developer by the end of 2022. Today, I can say that I am a front-end web developer. Now, I am learning back-end development in order to become a full stack developer.

Another thing I achieved was getting very good grades in all my courses in school. I worked so hard for it and it worked out for me.

One huge achievement I have made this year is personal growth. I made a decision to eliminate bad habits like procrastination and laziness, and so far, I have been successful. I am more productive than I have ever been.

As for what I've lost, I have lost friends. I had friends that I was really close with. But eventually, we grew apart and stopped talking. We basically became strangers. These things happen slowly. You stop talking for a week, maybe because of how busy you all are, and eventually it turns to months. By the time you realize, there is nothing left of the friendship and it seems difficult to repair.

What lessons did you learn from it?

One lesson I've learnt is perseverance. I have come to understand that nothing worthwhile can be done without perseverance. Perseverance helped me achieve what I achieved. There time I got tired, fed up and uninterested. But I persevered and eventually got what I wanted.

I also learnt hard work. Hard work was crucial for me. Like the saying goes, "nothing good comes easy". I had to work very hard to actualize my goals.

I learnt that good things come to those who build themselves. The more skilled, talented and knowledgeable you are, the more opportunities come to you. It's as simple as that.

The lesson I learned from what I lost is that I should take my friendships seriously. I should make that conscious effort to reach out no matter how busy I may be. Because, in the end, no man is an island. We all need friends.

Have you made some progress this year? Tell us

Yes, I have made some progress this year. Like I mentioned earlier, I have made progress with my personal growth. I got over the habit of procrastination and laziness. I can say I like the person I am becoming.

Another piece of progress I have made this year is that I have become more financially independent than I was last year. It feels good to be able to get what I want without always needing the assistance of another person.

I have also gotten even better academically this year.

Generally, everything is going according to my plan, and I couldn't love it any other way.

What's your plan for the remaining part of the year?

My plan for the remainder of the year is to become a full stack developer. I know it won't be easy, but I believe I have the perseverance to push through.

I also want to achieve full financial independence. So I am working towards achieving that.

I want to make good friends this year, as well as expand my network. I want to make friends that will help me become a much better person, a person value. Friends that would encourage me to keep growing and improving myself.

In the same vein, I will improve my network. Get to know more people. This will help me socialize more and perhaps, bring me an opportunity that could change my life.

Conclusion

So far, I can say that what I've gained is more than what I've lost. Furthermore, It's never too late to achieve that thing you've always wanted to achieve. You just need to make a plan and start acting immediately.
