I’m happy to join this contest organized by @simonnwigwe "Your Opinion about the Just Concluded Engagement Challenge." I’m excited to share my thoughts on the recent challenge and how it has affected me. This is a great chance to discuss what worked well and how we can make things better for the future. So let's start.
1. What is your opinion about the just concluded Engagement Challenge, was it as expected or you wanted something more?
When the announcement came that the Engagement Challenge would include both community contests and teaching team contests, I was really excited. Community contests are usually simple, where we just share our opinions or ideas. While this is easy, it can sometimes be a bit boring.
But the teaching team contests were something new. They involved practical homework and questions that needed real problem-solving skills. This made the contests much more interesting and challenging.
I enjoyed that these contests required us to do practical tasks and show the best work to win. It was a great way to learn and apply new skills.
I also liked reading other people’s posts in the teaching team contests. Seeing their practical work was interesting and educational. It was nice to see various topics like cooking, school subjects, physics, and web development. I participated in many of these contests and found them very engaging and helpful.
2. Which of the Teaching teams is your favorite, give reasons for your answer.
All the teaching teams were great, but my favorite was the "Dynamic Dev" team. They taught us web development, and it was really helpful for me. I read all the contest posts and tried to apply what I learned. As a student studying web development in college, I had only learned basic things and didn’t get much practical experience.
This contest helped me learn HTML and CSS well, although I’m still having some trouble with JavaScript. I’m trying hard to practice more.I enjoyed doing the assignments from this contest and seeing how others participated. Many people learned a lot about web development through these contests.
Another favorite team was the one that focused on classroom environments and teaching methods. I don’t remember their exact name, but they taught us how to create a better learning environment and use tools to make lessons more interesting. I also learned a lot from their contests about how to teach students effectively. Both teams were really useful and I learned a lot from them.
3. Why do people participate more in community engagement contests than the contests hosted by the teaching team?
The main reason people participate more in community contests than in teaching team contests is that community contests are usually easier and require less effort. Community contests often involve answering questions or sharing ideas, which doesn’t need much preparation or practical work.
In contrast, teaching team contests are more practical and require a lot of hard work. For example, in a cooking contest, participants needed various vegetables and had to do a lot of cooking, which might be difficult for those who are not interested in cooking or don’t have the time.
Similarly, in web development contests, many people didn’t participate because it required learning new skills, downloading apps, and doing practical work. This can be challenging and time consuming, and if people don’t see immediate rewards, they might feel demotivated.
There were also physics-related contests where tools were needed, and some people couldn’t afford them. It’s hard to buy tools for a contest that might not be useful later on.
In community contests, the tasks are simpler, like answering questions or sharing ideas, which is easier for most people. This makes it easier for more people to participate.
4. Which of the Teaching teams would you like to see in season 20 of the engagement challenge, give reasons for your answer.
For Season 20, I would like to see teaching teams from various fields. Here are some ideas:
IT-Related Team: As an IT student, I’d love to see a teaching team focused on computer-related topics. It would help us learn more about different aspects of IT, refresh our knowledge, and help those who are new to the field.
Cooking Team: Since I enjoy cooking, a team that focuses on cooking would be great. They could share recipes and tips, and we could try cooking them ourselves. It would be fun and interesting to learn new recipes and experiment in the kitchen.
Book Reading Team: I’m also interested in reading, so a team that discusses books and literature would be exciting. It could include book reviews and discussions, allowing us to share our thoughts and learn about different books.
History Team: A team focused on history would be wonderful. Learning about historical events and how they shaped the world would be very engaging. It could also include discussions on historical topics and allow us to share our opinions and ideas.
These types of contests would be informative and enjoyable, giving us the chance to learn and share our ideas on various subjects.
That's it from today's blog I hope you will like it. With best wishes ❤️. Now I like to invite @rumanaafroz, @jyoti-thelight and @andul-rakib to participate in this amazing contest.
