West Bengal state junior doctors have ended their hunger strike after meeting with Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata rape and murder case. The agitating doctors who have been on a hunger strike for the past two weeks have put out demands to Mamata Banerjee. She held talks and promised to look into the doctor's demands after a conversation on threat culture in hospitals. She actually urged the doctors to seize this hunger strike because of their health and just because she did not want to see the doctors suffer so she pleaded with the doctors to end the hunger strike.

At least 17 doctors from various Bengal medical colleges had a meeting chaired by Mamata Banerjee at the state Secretary yesterday evening.

The first meeting between the two parties was streamed live from the state Secretariat called Nabanna.

They've ended their hunger strike. They have just announced that they have withdrawn their hunger strike. It was around 17 days and they were on hunger strike with a demand for the justice and along with nine other points. Justice for the R G Kar rape rape and murder.

They had a meeting with the Chief Minister Mamata Banerji it was scheduled to be held within 45 minutes but it took around 2 hours and they have discussed and almost what as for the government sources that almost all demands they have discussed almost all demand apart from the removal of Health secretary Naran Swarup Nigam. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee made it clear that she will not take any action against this Naran Swarup Nigam the health secretary.

After the meeting the junior doctors returned back to the protest venue at Dharmatala then they had a General Body meeting and now they have announced that they will withdraw the hunger strike on request by the parent of the victim who also arrived at Venue to talk to the participants who sat for Hunger strike.

They announced their agenda of the next movement to be held on Saturday at R G KAR college and hospital.
