Hello, good morning all steem4nigeria community. I found an interesting topic How well do you know steemit organized and published by @okere-blessing.

Steemit is more than a mere blocking site as some people may think, joining steemit platform is one thing, and understanding the terms and it concept is another thing. It's a nice contest as I will also love to know how well others understand steemit platform I'll love to invite @preshy001, @dazzle55, @toflex and @mdspec to participate in this contest. With this I continue my view.

How well do you know steemit blockchain?

For some month now I'm a bit familiar with the Steemit blockchain and I came to understand that it is really an interesting project. I came to understand that steemit is a social media platform that runs on the Steem blockchain, and it is a decentralized public blockchain.

In steemit platform, they rewards users for creating and curating quality content, and the rewards are distributed in the form of the cryptocurrency called Steem. It's a really innovative approach to social media and it has a lot of potential.

How can you explain steemit to a stranger?

Explaining Steemit to stranger is what I been doing in recent days which promt most of my friends to find it interesting to join this platform, discribing steemit as a social media platform that uses blockchain technology to reward its users. Also talking about it opportunity of allowing users to post content, such as articles and photos, and that other users can upvote or downvote any content.

Then letting them know that the upvotes and downvotes determine the amount of rewards that the content creator receives. Finally explain that the rewards are distributed in the form of Steem coin which is tradable cryptocurrency.

What is the meaning of this acronym CSI on steemit. How can a user know his /her voting CSI.

Voting CSI is an acronym for *Voting Community Index. It is a mechanism on steemit that helps measure the frequency in which steemians support each other's content.

As I said, Steemit is a social media platform that helps to reward authors through upvotes.
Being that a social media, it means there should be an interaction between steemians.

HOW TO CHECK VOTING CSI

Checking Voting CSI was one of the knowledge I've craving to aquire, due to my curiosity I went on making research and found a way out.
Below are the steps to check Voting CSI.

Go to your browser and type on the search bar steemworld.org, then on the top right on the screen click sign in.

A pop-up screen will show, where the user is to insert his/her Steemit username and private posting key to help sign in the steemworld account.

After successfully logging in, the site icons and navigations bars will display, it is a user friendly site.

then to navigate your CSI one need to click on the dashboard icon then another page will open then you scroll down to see you Voting CSI.

What is the work of curators on steemit?

Curators are Steemit users that review content and upvote the content that they find worthy. This helps user to put in the best content on Steemit with the hope of being rewarded for creating high quality content. Curators are also plays important roles in Steemit economy because they help to determine which content creators receive the most rewards.

Aside from upvoting content, curators are also opportune to write reviews and comments on content, which helps provide feedback to content creators. They are the prime success to Steemit, without them it would be difficult for users to enjoy the benefit.

What is SP ? . How long does it take to return to Steem if a power down is being initiated.

On Steemit SP is an acronym ("steem power"). Steem power determines users voting power and amount to be contributed and reputation score. And users with higher steem power have more influence on the Steemit platform and their upvotes worth more than the upvotes of users with low steem power.

If eventually a user initiate to power down, that is moving his/her steem power to reflect as steem. It will likely takes four(4) weeks for it to reflect approximately one month, 25% of your desire power down amount will be dropping everything 7days till it complete.

I had this experience when I had emergency, which result powering down my earnings.
