My Neighborhood Watch #38 - Reporting Events Around us

Hello, good evening everyone here in steem4niger, it's a pleasure participating today on a contest My Neighborhood Watch #38 - Reporting Events Around us organized and published by @xkool24.

Happenings do varies depending on the day and location. We do encounter common happenings such as attending meetings and appointments, going to concerts and events, celebrating holidays or special occasions, experiencing weather changes, encountering unexpected situations, and witnessing news events.

But in my today's post I am going to write on an event I attended few days ago, it was a funeral service of Late David Umoh.

It happens that I attended the event because Late Mr David Umoh's son named Wisdom is my a student of University of uyo(uniuyo), in a department of COMPUTER AND ROBOTICS EDUCATION(CRESA) which happens to be my coursemate.

CRESA as a family decided to unit and turn up the event with the aim of comforting Wisdom, which some mourn with him.

We used a uniuyo bus(32 seaters) as a mean of transit, the journey was a 40mins drive as our vehicle was in a good condition. The location was in a local government called Ikot ekpene(aya road) in Akwa Ibom State Nigeria, the location is shown in the Google map below.

Losing a parent is never easy, and I can only imagine the pain and sorrow that Wisdom and his family are going through at this difficult time. From the knowledge I had from the Bible I comforted him with what the bible promised to all the dead ones.

I highlighted the reason for him not to weap as a hopeless person, because they will come to be a time wisdom will see is dad back because of the hope bible gives.

Knowing the reason for dead and how dead will be eliminated was my main point.

That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because they had all sinned (Romans 5:12 quoted) learn more

The verse above highlights how dead spread and all humans are victim of it, it all happened when Jehovah God instructed Adam not to eat the forbidden fruit. It was so unfortunate that Adam refused to follow the instructions because they were tempted by the serpent, who deceived them.

Jehovah God also gave this command to the man: “From every tree of the garden you may eat to satisfaction. 17 But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad, you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will certainly die. (Genesis 2:16,17 quoted) learn more

But despite that, being that Jehovah is a God of mercy he gave us his son "Jesus" as second Adam who died to renew our hope of living forever to fit Jehovah's purpose on earth.

So, then, as through one trespass the result to men of all sorts was condemnation, so too through one act of justification the result to men of all sorts is their being declared righteous for life. 19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one person many will be made righteous. Iastly I read Revelation 21:3,4 which say..

With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.

Those view point comforted and gives wisdom hope of seeing his dad again.
