It's a baby girl
Greetings to my entire family and I hope you're all doing well? It's been quite a while since I've been here because of my tight schedule. Two weeks ago, I was preparing for my baby's child's dedication and I appreciate God for the success of the event.
Dedication is the act of handing over something to someone for care. I believe this is the simplest explanation of the word dedication.
As Christians, we are trained to take our babies to church once he/she is three months old. This is to make sure that the baby is handed over to God for his care and protection.
Just like Jesus was dedicated to the Father, Samuel was also dedicated, and that footprints is what believers are practicing to date because there are greater benefits in it.
Some of our forefathers had the wrong belief in dedication because they went the wrong way of having a child. So many had visited shrines because of the delay of childbirth in their homes and the lack of patience had made them soiled their hands with things they didn't have the full knowledge about.
So many parents went and took an oath that that child would serve the devil and this had affected many homes even while the parents had long gone.
Some families won't know the cause of their challenges, until God's intervention. Many will go to witch doctors for findings but all to no avail.
The perfect way for your generation not to have challenges in the future is by taking your child to a servant of God for him to hand over the baby to God.
Customs and traditions have made some parent take their children to their old gods in the name of protection. I saw this in Unwana where I was schooling. This is usually done during their festive period. All the children at a certain age, would come out and an old man would stand before them and make enchantment!
All of them will be bare bodies and no female should be seen outside. According to their trading, any female that sees them will give birth to Masquerade.
When I went forward to make an inquiry, I discovered that all children born in that community had passed through that initiation. The reasons is that, any family who disobeyed, wouldn't have a share of land in that village and this kept them in the dark.
Choir presentation
My wife worships with the Catholic church and since I'm attending The Apostolic, we had to do it in the Apostolic church. This is where she came out to sing as a member of the choir, all others join her in the song.
This was a wonderful moment in the church and God takes the glory.
Immediately we finished at the church, the reception Venue was announced to be CRBC, and all roads led to the reception ground.
I was surprised by the great turnout at the reception venue.
This drink represents all assorted drinks which was provided for the occasion. Due to time factor,I had just taken this to represent that aspect.
My joy is that, all those who came and celebrated with us, ate to their satisfaction. God also gave us a clement weather and our hearts were filled of joy.
In conclusion, when you dedicate your children to God, you stand a chance of gaining divine coverage, protection, and other things, that time won't permit me to mention. These blessings last to even your 10th-generation unborn.
