Is Poverty and not having money the same thing? Explain

Being poor is a horrible curse. This curse wears people down. It lags behind rather than advances civilisation and society. It has the power to make people into animals. Under the scourge of poverty and the harsh pain of hunger, humanity is engulfed in the muck of sin, burned alive in the fire of want, forgetting justice and injustice, and unwittingly embarking on a path towards self-destruction. In this harsh and terrible inferno of poverty, injustice grows, violence increases, and humanity vanishes. Men sell their children for their livers and sometimes kill them, while women sacrifice their prized chastity. No, poverty and poverty are not the same thing, even though they may have some similarities.

If an individual or family cannot meet their basic needs—such as food, housing, healthcare, and education—they are deemed to be living in poverty. A low level of living, a lack of social safety, and a lack of opportunities are some of the contributing causes, and financial lack is just one of them.

Absence of funds:

Conversely, poverty is the temporary lack of financial resources. Even if someone is struggling financially at a given moment, they may not be impoverished. Thus, poverty is a sign of a short-term issue, but poverty is a deeper and more significant social and economic issue.

Do you think poverty is Man-made or situations in life make it happen? Mention 2 main causes of poverty in your country.

Absolutely, poverty is mostly caused by humans. The economic structure, inequality, societal policies, and political choices all contribute to the high rate of poverty.Poverty is caused by a variety of circumstances, including structural problems that are both natural and man-made.

  • Economic inequality: The impoverished are left behind when a society's wealth and opportunities are concentrated in the hands of a small number of people.
  • If low-income families are unable to access good education and profitable jobs, poverty will continue to exist for generations to come.
  • Labour exploitation and low wages: Workers stay impoverished if they do not receive a decent salary.

  • Political and social injustice: Poverty is also caused by a number of factors, including discriminatory legislation, corruption, and insufficient social safety programs.

🔹In my nation, Bangladesh, poverty is mostly caused by two factors:👇

Low-wage work and unemployment

Bangladesh has a large population living in poverty as a result of a lack of work options. The salaries of many employed people are insufficient to cover their essential expenses. Agricultural and clothing workers in particular continue to live in poverty as a result of their low pay.

A lack of training and expertise

Lack of technical skills and a poor level of education are major contributors to poverty. For financial reasons, many children from low-income families are unable to complete their education, leaving them unskilled and preventing them from obtaining good work opportunities. They are consequently unable to escape the cycle of poverty and are compelled to work for meagre pay.

Natural catastrophes, population pressure, and corruption are also some of the main factors contributing to poverty in Bangladesh.

Give a life experience to justify that poverty is either man-made or situations in life cause it.

Uddin Nasir was a farmer. He used to manage his family nicely and cultivate his land. Life was serene and full of joy. However, a severe flood one year destroyed his whole harvest. Additionally, the land vanished into the riverbed. This made him absolutely penniless. After that, he moved to the city and looked for work, but his lack of college degree and skills prevented him from landing a respectable position. For meagre pay, he was made to labour in a clothing factory. Because of his extremely low income, he is unable to pay for his children's education, food, or housing. Many people, including Nasiruddin, suffer from poverty as a result of social and governmental issues in addition to their personal circumstances.

Someone refuses to scam people to make a fortune and elevate himself from poverty. Will you say the person is the reason he's still poor or will you say he's being content with the poverty? Justify your answer

It can be argued that a person has chosen poverty for moral grounds if he chooses not to achieve money by deception. However, this is not the sole cause. If he makes an effort but is not given the proper opportunity, then society and the economic system are to blame for his lack of wealth. If he has the chance to become wealthy through moral methods but chooses not to, he might be held accountable for his continued poverty. It can be claimed that he is happy with his status if he accepts poverty without trying to better, even while he is aware that there are means to do so without fraud. This does not imply that he chooses poverty; rather, it indicates that his moral choice led to him.
