There is this neighbor of mine that will not cease to fascinates me, she should be in her mid_fourty and married to a handsome man who should be in his late fourty .She is tall and beautiful too and they both have been married for more than a decade. They are blessed with 2 lovely kids a boy and a girl who are still in primary schools. However, there is something they keep doing that get everyone in the neighborhood with mixed feelings , the wife is so disrespectful and the husband is a beast who keeps battering the wife at every available opportunity. The wife on the other hand would never fail to retaliate when the husband gives her an embarrassing beating both indoor and outdoor.
On many occasions, they have both fought in the presence of their kids and neighbors thereby living the children emotionally traumatized. Since men are naturally stronger than women, during the fight, the husband will always have upper hand and this keep giving him confidence to keep beating the wife as usual . This drive the wife into depression and she was gradually withering. She kept all of these away from her family just to remain married and she even hoped that someday the husband will change but the husband never did.
The fight got to the grand finale, on the 8th of December 2024 , this woman beater of a neighbor picked up a quarrel with his wife and resulted in fight as usual.
This time he left his wife with cuts and bruises . No one to advise the wife on what to do, she knew it was time to take on her heel. So grudgingly she picked up a phone for the first time and called her only brother and told in tears the bitter stories behind her marriage which she usually showcases outside as a blissful one . It wasn't up to twenty minutes since they were living in the same town, the brother arrived. He called on the brother in -law unknown to this my neighbor that his wife has called and informed the brother on the phone over what has been going on in her marriage.
He rushed out to open the door for the wife's brother and then immediately he open the door with excitement, unprepared though the wife's brother started beating him. He was beaten without any opportunity for defence. The fight grew so hot that no one could separate it, so my neighbor took to his heel, he ran away from the fight then the brother in-law entered the house picked his sister and left. 3 days later the dispute in their marriage was settled and he went back to pick the wife. That was the end of the fight in my neighborhood. They are now living in peace and harmony. Thank God for that her brother,for coming to her sisters rescue.
Lessons of the story
Husbands have the obligation to always love and cherish their wives just as they love themselves, for no man has ever beaten himself but he loves and cherishes it ,on the other hand wives should have deep respect for their husband doing so will bring love, harmony and happiness in the family.
