Experienced an annoying day for the first time in a long while

Who would have thought I was gonna be making this post today, it never even crossed my mind but my experience today would not allow me to let it slide. Am not happy about the way my day turned out. Anyways I've come to realize that sometimes unforseen events can interrupt or distort one's daily plan. Such is what happened today.

Today was supposed to be a day I ought to work remotely, I had notified the appropriate authorities that I won't be showing up today. So I saw today as a day I was going to be enjoying a day off work, do some work from home as planned and save on transport fare too. You would agree with me that t.fare these days is something else, no thanks to the present day government.

One would have to think twice before stepping out. It's that serious. You have to sit and check if your outing is worth it before setting out...lols. wait! did I just laugh🤦 amidst this whole saga. Anyways it's not a crime to laugh. Let me continue my story...

So I was in my room just last night when one of our key personnel at work sent me a message on Whatsapp saying we would be having a virtual meeting by 12pm the following day, as at this time, I was still having a little issue with the setup of the meeting software we were going to use. I struggled until I had to push it to the next day.

I finally managed to sleep after an hectic day and then the following day which happened to be today, I picked up and powered my system,I then tried reaching out to the same person who I was to hold the meeting with to help me with the set up...this I did via whatsapp. So while I was waiting for his response, I decided to shut down the system just to save energy.

He eventually came online and then asked that I turn on the system so he can help out with the setup and then have our meeting. I picked up the system to turn it on then the system refused to turn on...it was like a joke, I was like but I just shut down this system myself... It wouldn't still turn on, I tried and tried, all to no avail and there was no light to troubleshoot.

The meeting was important and wasn't flexible enough to be rescheduled. Then I had to consider stepping out again and the worse part was that it has to be my work place where I get to work using free data and steady power supply but then it comes at a cost, the t.fare. I didn't want to spend that again until the next day but then the meeting had to be done.

I had to succumb and then got prepared to step out. Couldn't eat the food at prepared comfortably because I wanted to catch up with the already scheduled time. My countenance was completely down till I got to the junction where I was to take a vehicle. I was totally mad at the system for denying me the opportunity to stay at home and get this meeting done. I had my data bundle for the meeting already and wouldn't mind forgoing the free wifi at work but this singular incident took me back to work.

It actually ruined my plans many to-do for the day, this is actually what made it painful. And the annoying part was that I had to use the whole day the way I would if I had come to work on a good day. So the off for me was ruined and you know, I've got a lots of tasks pending, just one single impromptu meeting ruined everything.

I thank God all the same because I know all things work together for my God. I know I might have expressed the worst kind of feeling today but it's all for my good. I will just look for a way around the things that need to be done that I've not done. But make we no lie today vex me....
