The Diary Game|| 26/5/2024|| Children's Day Celebration

Tomorrow being 27th of May is choosen as the children's day celebration here in Nigeria. It is always a special day for school children to go and showcase their talent in the stadium by doing a march past, display cultural dance, and enjoy themselves.

Today being a Sunday, its not a work day nor Saturday which is always perfect for the children, so my elder sisters church, The Redeemed Christian Church Of God Province 1 decided to host the children's day in a church way. They made it look like they are in the stadium. The children march and also dance and enjoy themselves. My nieces and nephew was not left out, and that was how i was involved. i will tell you in details how they were able to achieve making today a memorable day for the children.

I woke up in the morning with a jump and shouting Jesus. That was because i slept pass the time i was supposed to wake up and take my Anema, and prepare to go and meet my sister that already booked me to help her today.
She booked me to help her watch the children in church during the march past and other activities while she is also running around to fix what the children in her zonal church will eat after the activities.

I rushed and took the already prepared anema to clear my stomach. Took my bath, got dressed and leave to her house. By the time i got to her house, the children had already eaten, taken thier bath.

Since my niece was the queen, she needed to join their parish church bus to the headquarter where the event will be taking place, so i rushed and took my own breakfast too, and took her and the brother to the church.

I came back and dressed the last child, that one is just a year old and she was the reason i was really needed by my sister. We later left to church that is the headquarter straight for the event.

The Redeemed Christian Church Of God Uyo Province 1 has 16 zones. The 16 zones were divine into Eight(8) Rural zones, and Eight 8() Urban Zones. It is divided this way so that trophy can get to the rural zones too. If it is to be put together, urban zones which is mainly churches in town, which has rich parents and they have swags, will not let the rural churches see one trophy.

We got to the church (headquarter), the children were already lined up for the march past. Some has already started matching. So i could only capture few zones. The match past was done successfully and the children all went inside the church auditorium for lauch and prepare for the song competition and choreography.

Still in the afternoon, song competition and choreography were done zone by zone, few zones took part in song, while others took part in choreography. Some of them, the song was composed by them. It was a competition, so the children came prepared especially the host zone.

The activities came to an end around 4pm. The judges were not left out in this event. They were partial in their judgement, and were so patient to stay till the end. They all computed each judges result and put together to come out with a fair result.

The results was read by one of the judges according to the Rural and Urban zones. Since my sister's zone which is named Sure Foundation Zone was in the rural, we were exhausted and wanted to go. Thank God the started calling the results from the rural zone.

So we waited and sure Foundation zone took 2nd position in march past, and 8th position in overall participation. So they children were happy, went out and snap with their cup of achievement. We couldn't wait for the event to properly close. We all went home to go and rest.

Still in the evening, after getting to my sister's house with her children, i bath all of them and gave the baby food to eat, then carried my bag to go back to my house. They were outside waiting for me to hold my leg as usual that i'm not leaving them. I immediately told them to come and snap with me that i want to rush and print the picture and come back. That was how i escaped them.

My sister gave me 3000 naira for transportation, on my way home i branch crunches plus and got sharwama to eat and sleep. I already had a yoghurt at home. So i use the sharwama with a chilled yoghurt as my dinner.

That was how my day ended and i started sharing it here in steemit, before i retire to bed.
