I personally view the scuffle between chemical and natural products as a carefully crafted propaganda design to promote the use of herbal remedies instead of the orthodox solution to health issues.
Every product is a chemical and that includes the water we drink (H₂O) meaning that there is nothing like a none chemical substance, even the squash you get when you squeeze the juice out of an orange, you end up with a naturally occurring chemical compound which you call Orange-juice.

If the argument was between naturally occurring chemical and laboratory synthesized versions of the same chemical Or an attempt to avoid some foods that are genetically modified or engineered foods often known as GM food will have more substance compared to glorifying natural compounds as if once it is natural then it must be safe for consumption.
The unfounded claim that naturally occurring substances squeezed out of plant leaves, backs, seeds or roots are always safe is far from true because some of the most potent poisonous substances like Abrin, Ricin, Aflatoxins and Botulinum toxin are naturally created by plants and other organisms.

Consumers should be educated so they don't fall for some propaganda designed by some people for selfies gain. Even when an ideology is widespread in the area where we live and it is made to look like the choice of the educated and wise. In some cases it has no substance and should be scrutinized before adopted. The idea has no intellectual backing because even the terms used to propergate the idea was not well selected. A complete eradication of chemical products will mean having no products left.

noExcluding the substandard products created at the back of our homes in Nigeria, orthodox medicine had all the advantage. It's a product of research that has passed through laboratory, animal testing and clinical trials just to make sure they are safe.
For it to pass through it's discovery, the preclinical studies, the clinical development and market approval then sustained by quality control, the drug remains the same and has a specific target. With possible side effects well stated.

On the other hand, We can not really tell the concentration of the so-called natural concoction and because no volumetric or quantitative analysis was conducted on the potion, we can't really tell the dosage or content. And no test is conducted to see if we will respond well to the potion. It is based on blind faith in the herbalist.

I have spent a lot of money on test to solve a situation that felt life threatening, I was asked to visit a cardiologist, a radiologist and do some x-ray of my chest and longs which was all negative. I spent an upward of ₦85,000 about 586.20 Steem on a variety of tests. but when I found a more experienced health consultant, in the same hospital, he listened to my symptoms and prescribed a specific antibiotics that cost ₦1500 (10.34 Steem) and it was the solution to my health situation.

We are closer to people who provides herbal remedies and they will always want to make us believe that they offer a better solution. And even our medical doctors are not truly orthodox as they are also influenced by this natural remedy mindset. And I don't expect more from them because in most instances, this doctors are children from homes where a parent provided herbal remedies to the people in their community.
