WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO WORRY AND WHY IS IT BAD TO DO SO?

Worry is a mental trouble or agitation as a result of concern usually for something anticipated or expected. Worry is one form of thinking, most especially future events and situations that often times leaves you feeling discomforted with yourself or anxious. I personally want to believe worry is relatively connected with the fear process. Human beings have the ability to think and most times think of future events and how to plan towards it. The concept of doing that might make one to worry because of the fear of what is expected to happen in future. Although one can worry about an event that happened in the past, the worry there is actually how the event or situation on the past will affect the future .
According to my own calculation, I can say that about 90% adult individual worry. It's normal that worry increases when an individual is faced with dangers, problems, challenges or something unknown. The most common aspects an individual can worry about is family issues, probably how to fix a problem at work, school, health issues, interpersonal life and finances.
It is true that worry can just pop up, and also normal worrying is stimulated by a reminder in our environment that is linked to the concerned aspects. Moreso, the frequency of worrying and the extent of anxiety in our daily lives differ as an individual but still remains normal.
When worry becomes distressing and becomes the problem, it may possibly interfer with other normal functions of the body and brain such as concentration and focus ,sleep, especially when one is faced with stressful situations. When worrying occurs frequently or more often than not, then worrying is bad.

Negative thinking and constant expectation of something worse that might happen will likely affect your emotional and physical health. It sure does drain emotionally, causing head aches insomnia (lack of sleep),most times muscle tension and stomach aches, you often times loose weight too.

WHAT CAUSES WORRYING

-- Losing someone you love or someone very
close to you or a family member.
    -- Money or financial issues
-- Having to stay extra time at work.
-- Probably facing crisis at school.
-- Being bullied, harassed or abused.
And this most times leads to depression.
  2. Worry can be caused by mental or physical health problem of an individual. When an individual is already going through some health challenges it is very common to develop worry while living with the health problem.
  3. Why people tend to worry for a variety of reasons is often because of fear. Fear of future outcomes they can't control or fear of being judged.

SOLUTIONS TO AVOID WORRYING TOO MUCH

1. Taking out quality Relaxation time:

One need to learn how to take out some time for their selves in doing those things they love or will ease our worries like watching a movie, taking a walk, doing yoga's and exercises that are fun, taking a bath, etc . Having fun yourself with the things you love helps to release endorphins which heals our worry and stress.

2. Put down your worries and consider them:

Writing down your worries and putting it aside rather than troubling or getting yourself worked up is one way to stay healthy. You may discover that the things we worry about is not what is happening but what could possibly happen. You can go ahead to consider the worries you put down one after the other, according to their least of worries, you can also ask yourself some critical questions.

3.Write down some possible solution to the current issue giving you stress:

Take a pen and a paper and put down some likely solutions to the situation as it does have a positive effect on those who worry excessively.

4. Have a balanced diet:

It has been confirmed that a huge consumption of caffeine can likely increase stress and worry. And so it is adviceable that one should consume in lesser quantity. One should also take fruits, vegetables, grains and a large quantity of water as it benefits the mental and physical health.

5. Learn your triggers:

For most people, constant anxiety and stress may become worse by certain triggers. Your triggers can be learned by taking notice of your environment and the scenes around you that often stimulate your worry and anxiety habit. Once you've mastered those triggers, you can choose to either amend them or avoid them.
