A glance at this topic, got me upset because of the bad government system we operate in Nigeria. Today, I want to share with you my view about this contest hosted by @ruthjoe.
I would say that Nigerian government has gone so bad that non of the government officials remembers the masses and their needs. A lot of unnecessary allocations, they spend our money on things that are not needful.
Who would talk? Everyone sits and watch them perform their duties. We hear news of how a huge amount of money was allocated for some projects that will not benefit the masses but would benefit them, so it's obvious that all they do is just for their benefits.
Let me answer these questions below and say less about the government.
There are lots of things the government have neglected, but just because I am asked to mention one, I would say the education system.
Education is one vital key every one citizen is entitled to. We all are meant to pass through a good system of education, but because we lack it, most of us end up having little or no education. The Nigeria government has preferred to collide with individuals who has private schools. They pay a certain amount of money for their school to become government approved.
Government herself has forgotten the local schools for the citizens, I guess it's because their wards are not affected. No roof in most of the local schools, no seats, no good environment for studies. I remembered when I went to school, I had a good environment, with amazing ventilation. The seats were beautifully attached to each other. It was a free school from the government and everything was made available for all the students in the school.
But today, the reverse is now the case. The government is supposed to spend money on fixing these schools to enable the poor masses pass through the school system. A lot of persons desire to go to school but because they cannot afford the private schools, they sit at home or go into business. If only the government would channel these money to make the education system better, there would be opportunities for all citizens.
The Nigerian government spend so much money on debts. For me, I don't know how these debts are been incurred. We keep hearing of incurred debt that Nigeria has to pay.
Meanwhile, these money were supposed to be used for better things like; good roads, hospitals, education, job opportunities, make the country a better place for the citizens.
Imagine 80% of the country's generated revenue used for debts, how much is remaining? 20% cannot give us anything. I think they should minimize the way the country owe so that we can control the revenue and use it for sensible things.
Well in my country Nigeria, I am not enjoying any social amenities from any government because the government herself has refused to give the citizens any social amenities.
No good roads in Nigeria, no good pipe born water, no good health facilities, no proper education. In fact nothing, we enjoy nothing in this country.
Until we have a better government, these issues still remain untouched.

Your post is well structured. I have not seen a country like Nigeria where the government is less minded of the welfare of her citizens. The educational system has nothing to write home about, starting from not paying of staff good amount that can encourage them to bring out their best for the students. Not to talk of paying teachers on time! This has been the major setbacks of Nigerians educational system.
Thanks for sharing and good luck.

It good to see your entry for this contest. It's the aggression for me my dear.
This country wan tire me but I no gree give up. Although our government has failed but let's keep our hopes high and change our mentality.
Let's now work towards things we can do to salvage the "failed" government and not what they can do for us. In my opinion, they've got nothing to offer, I mean presently..
Thanks for your contribution. #steem-on
