What do you understand or know about ChatGPT

ChatGPT is a chatbot that is powered by artificial intelligence. It was created by openAI. ChatGPT generates responses by itself to any question or task thrown at it. It gets most of its resources from the internet. It was programmed for interaction with humans. People use ChatGPT for things like writing articles or essays, developing business plans and strategies, and even writing code.

Do you think it is good for a platform like Steemit where creativity and POB is the watch word?

I do not think ChatGPT is good for a platform like steemit. Steemit is meant to promote creativity. Steemit is a platform for excellent articles and creative opinions. Allowing the use of ChatGPT on steemit takes away the naturalness and the creativity. People will get complacent when preparing articles. They won't do the extra research to carefully explain a particular topic. The articles will look unnatural and could lack depth.

Furthermore, there could be incidences of multiple people writing articles that are very similar in composition.

The fun part of steemit is people expressing themselves in their own words. ChatGPT would take that away.

What do you think will be the downside for embracing ChatGpt on Steemit

Like I mentioned earlier, the downside to allowing ChatGPT on steemit is loss of creativity, naturalness and originality, which are the hallmarks of steemit. There's nothing as good as having articles that are totally yours, and are a result of your hard work and thinking.

Eventually, steemit could lose its appeal. It wouldn't be as exciting and enticing as it is now.There would be nothing new and creative to capture the attention of readers.

If you do not agree to it use, What do you think should be the penalty/punishment for anyone caught using it ?

The punishment I propose is that anyone caught using chatGPT should be banned from the particular community where he/she posted. If it's a first-time offender, the individual should be banned for a period, preferably four weeks. If the individual offends again, he/she should be banned permanently.

Conclusion

Using ChatGPT for a platform like steemit should be discouraged. A healthy and creative steemit ecosystem will be enjoyed by every user. We should put our hands together to ensure that the use of ChatGPT is restricted.
