This is @okere-blessing reporting from Uyo Akwaibom state Nigeria. Uyo is the capital city of Akwaibom state. Majority of people who resides in the city can attest how busy the capital city is.

We have a place in the capital city of Uyo called plaza , this is a very big landmark to anyone coming to Akwaibom for the first time I'm sure @sahime and @ruthjoe can remember this popular place the time they came for National steemit meetup at Uyo.

It has reached like two weeks that I visited this place last, because I have everything I needed within my location. Today been Saturday 1st ,march, 2025 I decided to take a walk to plaza so that I can fix my phone and my wristwatch. Behold everywhere was empty businessmen and women were stranded some their goods has been seized by task-force . Wow. It was unbelievable because this place is a center of attraction to the city. There's nothing you will find here without seeing it even cheap.

I decided to hang around and ask people what happened, like two to three person's couldn't give me a reasonable answer to what happened.

I went further to where I needed to fix my watch I saw my customer standing by the road side calling on people he know to direct them where they can locate him.

Finally I got the news that Akwaibom state government has taken over the place, it's was pathetic,where will this people start from. People whom all their livelihood depend on the sells they make here how will they survive this hardship in the country.

Government should always provide an alternative place for people before chasing them away, besides that plaza being a busy place made it more attractive to visitors.
