HOW I SPEND MY WEEKENDS

in hive-147599 •  6 days ago

Every weekend comes with excitement, relaxation and meeting with friends especially for those who are into government or private work. Iam not left out of the weekend offer, most importantly, the joy that accompanies it. I am going to tell you how I do spend my weekends. Enjoy yourself while reading.

A TIME FOR LAUNDRY AND CLEANING

Having worked from Monday to Friday, teaching the high school students, weekends give me an ample opportunity to wash, clean and reset my house. For instance, this weekend, when I woke up, I went straight to the kitchen where I started my house chores. I carefully washed and dried my kitchen utensils, making them ready for cooking. Although this might seems very challenging for some men, I find it joyful when I am in the kitchen. Mind you, I can perform house better than a woman. Don't try me 😃😃

IT WAS TIME FOR EXERCISE
Immediately I finished house chores, I set out for a road work(exercise). Jogging has been part of my life every morning especially on weekends. This is because exercise keeps me healthy and fit to perform any task with ease. Today, I jogged for a distance of two kilometers before coming back home. Within the time frame of two hours, I was sweating profusely as a result of the rigorous exercise. I loved it. You can't deny me exercise and fruits that's what keep me happy.

THEN, AN INVITATION

Every weekend seems to be an engagement time. Friends invitations mostly characterized my Saturdays. Although, I do relax on few weekends, this particular weekend got me on my feet. I had to attend a burial of a friend's late father. In Nigeria, especially the Southern region, the death must be given a good burial that accompanies with cerebration. I was there to join other sympathizers. It was such a sober moment to behold. A man in his late fifties(we call him, a professor) had pull such a mass of people in attendance. I spent about 3hours with the family.

IT WAS TIME FOR ENTERTAINMENT

Watching football is my hobby. When I was back from burial, I headed straight to viewing center to watching my football team (Manchester United played with Brentford FC). It was a tough match at first but my team dominated the second half and it ended 2:1 in favour of my team. I was happy with other fans. Up Man U!

MORAL LESSON

It is good to work to make money for yourself up keep but it is better to relax. I have learned a whole lot during weekends. One, all work without relaxation, makes you unhealthy. It is good to make good use of yourself to accommodate activities geared towards making you look good and happy. Thanks for reading and your time. Regards. @okokon
