INTRODUCTION

Hi dear steemians in steem4nigeria! How is your day going? Hope you're doing well. I want to thank @bento3 for organizing this contest of drawing so I can express my artistic prowess. I like drawing. This is my entry on drawing a mosquito. Enjoy and feed your eyes. Let's start.

The first step I took in drawing a mosquito was to get my drawing items available. My pencils, eraser and sharpener

The next step I took was to start drawing. I started sketching and drawing the head, the thorax, the wing, the abdomen and the eyes, since these parts are vertically located on the body of the insect.

In my next step, I inserted the six legs, the proboscis and the antenna, making the drawing took shape.

What Kind of Insect is a Mosquito?

Mosquito is a flying insect that bites and feeds on human blood especially the female mosquito. Mosquito is from the family of a small fly with a segmented body. It is from the class of insecta in animal kingdom. Mosquito has a sharp, piercing mouth part.

What are the Uses of Mosquito to Human?

Though mosquito is commonly known for its dangerous act of causing malaria that could lead to death, there are few uses that this dangerous creature gives to man.

Mosquito helps in the pollination of flowers. Flowers beautify human surrounding, making them look nice. In the cause of feeding on the nectar, it pollinates it, thereby helping in the reproduction. Most fruit flowering plants are edible, examples are mangoes, okra, etc. With the help of mosquitoes, these plants produce.
Mosquito is a source of food to other organisms. For instance, the larvae become feeds for fingerlings. Fish farmers benefit from mosquito because they supply feeds to their fishes.
Mosquito also provide a good source of research for scientists. Because of their dangerous effects on human being, a lot of researches have been carried out.

CONCLUSION

Mosquito is one of the most talked about small insect as a result of negative role it plays on human lives. However, the creature is significant in a little way.
